Celtic v CFR Cluj - Paradise, Tuesday 13 August - all comments here

Brown is not for European level.
He is always booked very early putting the team at risk and tonight he made it again with a handball. There isn't a single game for him to play safe. And again Im right about the way we act deffensively.Park the bus and give me a break.

No double standards here ???
Brown was shit tonight.
Boli was shit last week.
We move on.

And Boli has only played a few games for us. It's not right to compare them. People were calling for Bolingoli to be sold after one bad game on his second or third competitive match for us. I don't think Brrony was to blame for our loss tonight, but his hand ball, while obviously not deliberate, was an odd one. I assume he thought a player was coming in behind him about to bury it, though he was quite a bit away from goal. I have been advocate, since last year when we played some of our best football without Brown in the team, of restricting his playing time this season. It's only natural for his age. I think we have a more dynamic midfield when he's not in it, not that he doesn't have a huge role to play.

Hate using this word blind loyalty blind loyalty by our fans ,directors, really don’t think they give a shiny shit as long as long as their cut as well the ordinary punters going through the turnstile deserves better lie well and crew just could not give a monkeys think a awful lot of us are really getting short changed sick as a parrot after that performance tonight

You should get yersel on verdicts pm list a know you have just made his chrimbo card list mucker ??

Hey the others i’ll take it from coz their Celts.

You ya dubious cunt can stfu

Lennon was always the wrong choice and we all knew it. Lawwell just wanted someone he could control. It’s that simple.
For sure, Lenny made errors in his selection, but to be double-sure, it wasn't Lenny that made fundamental errors on the park.

I don't even begin to understand the thinking behind playing Calmac left-back and he got caught ball-watching at their first and at various other points throughout the game.

Sorry Andy, but that certainly didn't shape up like a back three, not with Hatem playing as far up as he did.

Broony had an absolute 'mare, and I mean an absolute 'mare......it happens, but it cost us tonight.

The keeper has to hold his hands up too. Some strange decision-making and poor at the third goal.

I'm sure it all made sense in theory before the match, but it certainly didn't make much sense in practice.

Just a word on the ref too, because that dickwad also had a fucking shocker. If I didn't know better, I'd have seorn he was from Lanarkshire.

PL deserves a kicking. Lenny deserves a bit of a kicking. Broony, Bain and Calmac deserve a bit of a kicking.

But this shit doesn't stick to any one individual. That was a collective effort in gifting the game, so for as much as we like to play the blame game - it's pretty tricky to pin it on one person.

And just for counter-balance, Lawwell has to have his feet held to the fire - no doubt about it, but for as much as folk are all for telling him to get to fuck - I'm still not hearing much about any credible replacements!

Win as a team, lose as a team; however- another sale might be in the offing soon.

By the way I'm pissed.......figuratively and metaphorically, so I'll apologise in advance if I cause offence.

Criticise one. Apply the same method. Its consistently fair.

Yeah but spreading the love n the blame. I can live with that ??✊

Not really. Scott Brown is our club captain and has played 526 competitive games for Celtic, while Bolingoli has played 3. Obviously there are hugely different expectations on both these players. I don't expect the same level of consistency from Bolingoli as I do of Brown, given it would be hugely unfair on Bolingoli to do so. The lad is still finding his feet. I should note, I thought that other than the hand ball, Brown was okay tonight. It was our defending and goalkeeping that fucked us.

Boli was criticised. He was shite and we all said so. People defended boli because others on here were saying he was a dud and should fuck off.
No one is saying Brown is a dud and should fuck off. I dont see the double standards at all boli got abuse for being poor as is Brown.
The only difference is people were asking boli to be given a chance before being written off.

Very dissapointed putting it super mildly. God where to start..its not the end of the world, fancy us to reach the Europa groups and progress through them. We only have ourselves to blame for this , lustig would've sufficed for tonight at least. Lenny slating bad decisions made in defence being unforgivable when we are still using last year's one minus KT plus elhamed, is strange when our tecord 7 million defender plays no part ? Is he here for the domestic 9iar then? Bought 3/4s of a back line but using half of it if not a 1/4 lenny knows they aren't good enough without the support required but we've left it too late again. Was this factored into the business plan ? Aim for Europa league get champions league as a bonus? Appears that way to me. Of course we could go on a great run in the Europa but we want the big cup and to hell with how much money it brings the club were not interested as supporters. Board better get finger out sharpish for the rest of the window. Broony???? I can forgive him that mistake honestly as he makes so few and we regained the lead but last year's defensive line ?

Apart from Christie who was immense but can’t do it on his own, Eddie and Forrest and maybe new Rb get pass marks, the rest were shite.. this team is in serious need of reinvigorating.PL needs to back Lennon and if he doesn’t Lennon needs to be honest with us and come out with it..that he ain’t getting backed,Celtic from such a position of strength have almost fucked it up!!! PL still has 3 weeks to sort it and if he doesn’t... I’m off to Arsenal ??

He’s a captain. Not fkn perfect pal. Not a cunt breathing who hasn’t made a mistake.

Both are professional footballers so if both have a shit game it should be ok to say that.

But not when y’all control the narrative to say boli should not be criticised but broony should.

Ain’t fkn happenin pal. Not tonight.

The sieve is back! It was like watching a home European game in the 1990s, all that was missing was Peter Grant standing on the halfway line claiming offside as an opponent runs past him and stick the ball in the net.
The manager picked the wrong team. Post match he bemoaned the lack of tempo in the first half, conveniently forgetting that he put the guy who dictates the tempo of our play out at left back.
Why spend £10m on a CB & LB then leave them on the bench for such an important game? Our recruitment is shambolic, has been for years, and we are now in decline (at European level) at a rapid rate due to this.
The captain is done at any kind of European level. The consequence of that is we will get overrun by any half decent team who press us high up the pitch. His performance was as bad as his last 2 at Ibrox and his hand ball for the penalty was idiotic.
If we go to Ibrox with that defence and midfield set up in a fortnight we will get pumped.
Finally forget about any significant new signings, a couple of loan deals will be the limit of our ambition. The KT money will now make up for the shortfall in finances due to no CL, much like Moussa money last year.
