Aye Ray, i'm not JF's biggest fan,but he hit the bull's eye wi' that piece, HH

It's one of the areas where I have a major issue.

Celtic have a fanbase that extends to millions. Of that potential fanbase, at least 150, 000 are interested in all developments relating to the club, yet we are dripfed information as and when it suits.

I've stated my support for PL and the board for their running of the fiscal arm, but without full disclosure and clarity, that vast army of supporters are no clearer on the protocols and procedures behind how Celtic operate.

If this was made categorically clear, then there is a better than decent chance that the board would receive more sympathy and a far warmer relationship with the lads and lassies who will still be financing the club long after the corporate sponsors are gone.

If Lawwell and Co keep saying they are merely Custodians of the Club then why don't they move aside and let other shareholders and faithful fans get a go. Only Jesting.

Well surely the eyes and ears around the club are not only PL and a manager surely others had their say at meetings and put in their thoughts as regards going ons.

Right get you now, I thought you meant the 'league table' and I was a bit perplexed

No you're spot on there Boab, for all the flack Lawell cops sometimes people forget there's a board of directors right there making these decisions with him. That's why any time I discuss issues at the club I use the term 'Lawell & the board' he may be the figurehead but he's not sitting in every seat around the boardroom table.

Aye, quite a few lads taking a generous stipend, but not the flak, Andy.

Spot on S P, McGinn wanted to play for us but Lawwell wasn't sure about him, Rogers was happy but when players he wanted were passed on by Lawwell then Rogers wanted away orLawwell wanted him gone. Now we hear that Sinclair doesn't want to leave but Lawwell wants him of the payroll. Do we ever get the truth from the club

well do you want the club to pander to the media and every story, when would it end, were do the stories eminate from in the first place, whats the source and the credibility of the source thats what social media is, its full of clickbaiting sites making money out of possible stories that has the potential to become reality, only not in the way they predict.
I could run a story that Ayer willleave, when i dont know but he will, source Hugh Keevins.

Aye SP even former Labour fuckwit and arch-Unionist Brian Wilson is probably skulking around in the shadows there too these days......our founders must be spinning in their graves.
wee breath of fresh air from the SFM

I wrote recently about my views that there is an overly large negative element among the Celtic support. As you can imagine social media is in complete meltdown this morning after last night's result. No-one is going to deny the disappointment of having a tie won twice, and then throwing it away, and as a fan it was heartbreaking to be present to witness it. The post mortem into team selection and tactics will go on for days. However some of the stuff I have read from so called Celtic fans about Neil Lennon, Scott Brown, Peter Lawwell and the rest of the Celtic Board goes beyond the pale. I am glad there is a site like this where generally only decent, constructive viewpoints are allowed. No-one has to agree with each other of course, but it is generally kept decent.
As a Celtic fan of 57 years old I have been privileged to witness many great moments, and the good certainly far outweighs the bad. Save for the years of financial doping and tax cheating by David Murray it might have been even better. I see people on here who support other clubs who maybe only have a couple, or just one fabulous trophy winning day to look back on or maybe none at all, yet it does nothing to diminish the love for their club.
Has the word Perspective been banned from the English language, because it is clear many people either don't know what it means, or are still willing to be influenced by the mainstream media.
