Ok folks Iam not sober. Lazio 1-2 Celtic. I'm thinking. Never won in Italy.
Things change.
Never a fan of NL as manager ( never a critic of his passion or love for our club). Yet he has taken us further in Europe that that traitorous basket that shall not be mentioned. Yet. The traitorous bastards was always praised on his ability to change formation/ make a substitute and win a game. Yet NL has done he the same ( Bitton (Bambi !n oor hoose) and NTcham) to win the match . On Reflection was NL the best player on/off the pitch.

I've also lost the battle wie sobriety as well, Weedoc, but I was a fan of Lenny as a manager and partly because he's happy to mix it up, go long and play on the break.

He's no perfect and I doubt Pep's sweatin it at Man City, but I believe that Lenny was what we needed for this season and apart from a couple of major blips, he's got the Bhoys playing some decent football wie goals all over the park.

Lenny did'nae panic and he got some pelters for his subbies last season, but he called well tonight and deserves credit for that.

I made no secret of it at the time I had my doubts about Lenny coming back, wasn't dead against the idea but I did have my doubts.

Don't get me wrong always loved the guy for his contribution both as a captain and manager and for the way he's stood up to the horrendous treatment he's had to endure representing our club but I had my doubts about whether he had matured tactically as a manager and whether Lawell would have too much influence over him.

I can't speak for the latter only time will tell on that one but I'm ecstatic that my doubts about his ability as a tactician were wrong. The Cluj CL game aside he has proven time and again this season that he has improved tactically as a coach. He's set his team out with a great balance to it both in personnel and how they're set up to play, he's picked up early on in games where we've been having issues and made the correct changes to remedy them before it's cost us and he has for the most part got his substitutions and the timing of them bang on.

Tonight was a perfect example of Lenny's ability to read the game and make the right call at the right time. He recognised that we needed more control higher up the pitch late on, the game was so open we were running the risk of getting caught out with a sucker punch because we couldn't make the ball stick higher up in their half for long enough so he subbed Christie and brought on Ntcham.

There were probably some people who weren't happy about Christie being subbed but Christie is a 100mph all action type player and that wasn't what we needed at that moment in time, what we needed was a calmer more measured approach in the final third and as Ntcham has a cool head and better close control it meant we kept possession better and it was that calm measured approach that turned a admirable 1-1 draw into an amazing 2-1 win against a top side.

That was Lenny's doing and he deserves massive credit for making that call when he did.

no time for the man, but Rodgers still the better manager I say.

lennon doing well though, and probably the right man to have in the corner fighting to make sure we push past 9

I think the younger Celtic players are beginning to understand that, even though they can run about at lighting speed, most of their injuries and niggles are fatigue injuries and Celtic have been making good choices when replacing certain player during the games.

Fatigue can be worse than an actual injury if it zaps you of energy.

Think you read that wrong, Galway. He meant he had no time for Rodgers.
Yeah, meant Rodgers. And I was probably one of the few fans that loved Lenny as a player, seeing what he brought to the team (although I did boo him on that pass back!). However, I think he’s too emotional for a manager, thankfully it hasn’t shown yet 2nd time round. I always rated him in ability though
