Celtic track Ismaila Soro as Parkhead scouts run the rule over £3m-rated Ivory Coast star
Celtic have yet to make a move but have placed the playmaker on a list of potential targets.

Celtic are tracking £3m rated Ivory Coast youngster Ismaila Soro.

Record Sport understands Parkhead scouts were in the stands to run the rule over the 21 year-old midfielder’s display for Israel outfit Bnei Yehunda in their 2-1 win against Hapoel Beer Sheva at the weekend.

Celtic have yet to make a move but have placed the playmaker on a list of potential targets.

Soro was picked up as a kid in the Ivory Coast by Moldovan side Saxan before making a quick switch to Gomel in Belarus in 2017.

Bnei snapped him up just a year later as a future prospect but he’s blasted his way in to the side and become a top team regular.

Celtic’s head off football operations Nicky Hammond and boss Neil Lennon have links in the region and managed to snap up defender Hatem Adb Elhamed from Beer Sheva in the summer.

Soro has also caught the eye and the Premiership side could make a move when the transfer window opens in January.
