RANGERS are closing in on £20million worth of investment through a share issue which could bring about significant boardroom change.

SunSport understands a mystery Asian investor and a Hong Kong-based backer are poised to plough millions into the Ibrox club.

Douglas Park, tipped to become chairman when Dave King officially stands down later this month, will also provide further additional funding.
An announcement confirming the Ibrox windfall is expected to be made before the end of month.
SunSport understands both Far East businessmen have provided Gers with proof of funding.

Both are keen to become involved at Ibrox and could invest further if King is willing to sell his shares.

More dodgy dealings I suspect

Nothing new here then They've been receiving MILLIONS of pounds in investment through Soft Loans from directors and they are STILL in Dire Straits

That's BEFORE they are issued with negative decisions in various Court cases

Their top asset MOREORLESS has been outed as what he really is A bang average striker who cannot cut the mustard when it comes to the crunch so there"s a MASSIVE hit to an already fairy tale Asset List

Their captain admitted that they don't have a strong enough mindset to win consistently as is demanded of them

They spend MILLIONS of pounds on new players Money that they do not have and very probably won't ever have

£20 million of investment will be eaten up in minutes by that mob so any WAR CHEST that the Zombies expect to be given to Gerrard or whoever may be manager come the summer is likely to be a FRACTION of the £20 million

I also note that Douglas Park is being touted as their new Chairman
If that's the case what Celtic must do is cancel their Contract with Parks for the Team Bus

How bizarre is it watching a Club roll up to stadiums in a vehicle with the name of name of our greatest rival's tribute act emblazoned all across it?

Whoever signed that contract was surely having a laugh Surely a Club of the standing and kudos of Celtic should be more business aware in such matters

There must be plenty of companies out there who would love to sponsor such a deal Bookmakers Kit Makers Candlestick Makers even but NOT the company owned by the Chairman of our Wannabee rivals!!!

It's funny how its always a mystery unnamed investor from a far flung place that's about to save the day.
A bit like the mystery unnamed far flung clubs that were going to buy the Gruffalo.
I was just thinking the same thing hoopy. Never clear and open details wi that mob is it. If it's no undisclosed fees for imaginary signings it's Austin Power style international mystery mega off the radar wealth kinda guys that they don't even know the names of.

The thing is that even if it turned out to be true...and I wouldn't be holding my breath on that...but even if it turned out to be true....they will fuck it up cos that is what they do. They're a complete and utter omni shambles and long may it continue says I ☘☘☘

As far as press reports go, how many times have they come out with the word 'mystery' in relation to financial matters relating to the Huns?
Morelos is a prime example. Like mystery sources reporting imminent massive £multimillion bids from major clubs all over the world for the ugly one.
And then nothing more til the next fanciful jackanory report comes along.

And now today, we have a mystery Asian investor along with a Hong Kong one (think the latter would have enough on his plate right now with current events) chipping in £20 million. Douglas Park too, doing his bit with a million or two.

Another thing comes out of all this and that is the further watering down of share value if any of this has even a hint of truth. Penny shares comes to mind.

£20m does not equate to a budget for Slippy, more like a blacked balled chairman selling up. With a carcrash retail deal with on going litigation, £10m black hole to see the season out, many millions to pay SDI and remember it's the EL that they are in not the CL still need to get rid of the dreich before buying anyone. £20m sounds great reality is they need that to stand still.

Why would anyone with an ounce of business brain wouldn't touch that mob, they're hemorrhaging money, no overdraft facilities with bank.
The stadium needing major repairs to steel work in free Broomloan, Govan & Copland stands, estimated 3 months work per stand, also rear of stands would be closed while works carried out, The team needs investment. These pair must be loaded & looking tae launder money or thick as fuk
