Best individual performance you have seen at Celtic Park

Great thread 50! I oved Ronaldinho too. I came home waxing lyrical about him and applauded him off that night. Came home and my flatmate who had watched on TV said he thought he was average.
The one for me however was Youri Djorkaeff when PSG came to Celtic Park and showed me how I wanted Celtic to play.
We were humped 3-0, though we did have our chances. They had a good keeper and we hade Gordon Marshall. Patrice Loko got a couple of goals and was a superb striker but Djorkaeff blew me away.
I love players who can take the ball in midfield under pressure, offer themselves to take the ball from teammates even though they know it's harder for them to receive than the centre half who just wants rid. I see a lot of Djorkaeff in Callum McGregor-genuinely. It's why I'd like to see him in a more advance role. He can drop back when he's 33.
PSG were applauded off that night and they were great but he was the difference.

Trezeguets 2nd half when he came on for del piero in that 4-3 game, I'll always remember, he may not have ran the game but in that 45 he was untouchable and couldve scored 3. Amazing game with the players in both sides. Moravcick was outstanding. Sutton Larsson lennon Lambert and they had edgar David's as well. This was the side that went to Seville a few seasons later.

Agree with Niall and winter

Djorkaeff was outstanding at Celtic park and what a player he was , i was at the game in Paris and PSG never looked like getting out of 2nd gear but they were playing with us
when they arrived at Paradise they had it wrapped up in the first half they had a great team then

Trezeguet was an outstanding player ,came away from that game wondering why juve hadn't put him on from the start he would have did more damge if he had

Dragan Stoijkovic - Celtic v Red Star Belgrade...not sure of the date?
The guy was incredible

"Beware the Dragan" was the headline in the papers the next day when we were rumoured to be signing him
Oh he was a proper player, Docco.

Yugoslavia would have been a good shout for the Euros in '92 if the Balkan crisis didn't ignite and they should have tanked Argentina in 1990 at the quarters.

Brilliant player though, but a bit of a wasted talent.

Him and Prosineski were dynamite but ultimately could have been so much better...a bit like our very own dziekanowski

I remember Jackie scored the greatest goal I've ever seen...at Easter Road v Hibs.....Fat Goran was in goals
Hibs had a bye kick...goram cleared it to the half way line , Jackie was standing waiting for it...he brought the ball down on his left thigh, shifted the ball on to his right boot and leathered it right back over Goram and into the net......now there was no TV cameras there that day and I've yet to hear anyone else who remembers Jackie's half way line goal!!

Anyone??

Loved that guy. I can remember an overhead kick past Goram at Parkhead and a 30 yard belter at Easter Road but not when Goram was in goal.

Remember it well Chico, big Jock told him in front of all the players at half time if he produced the goods and they won comfortably he did not need to fly to Belgrade,if I remember right it was 5-1 but the big man reneged on his promise,,the wee man went to Belgrade..
The finest performance I have seen by anybody at Parkhead..

Billy McNeill recalls asking wee Jimmy what he was doing back at centre half defending, Jimmy was scoring and keeping them out, and shouting to Cesar i dont need to go.
