I can only say I agree with Chris Sutton regarding his article this morning.

I totally agree. A goalie, left back cover, centre half and striker. The games are going to come thick and fast for the whole of this season as they have to cram so many into a shorter time period - plus lots of high profile internationals too. We must use our squad wisely to make sure we create history.

OK the Champions League qualifiers don't start for a few weeks but I'd have preferred to get players in so they trained and played with their new colleagues in the meaningless preseason friendlies rather than trying to integrate them during high pressure competitive matches. Every early domestic game will be a must-win and we need to make sure we get an impressive start.

No-one is asking the board to break the bank, but do something to make sure we get the 10 and beyond. We have already off-loaded 10+ players from last season (or thereabouts) so we've done the first part of the business plan.

There’s nothing happening at the moment, Sutton’s gotta fill column inches, so just spouts shite, Big league’s haven’t finished yet, so players under contract aren’t available yet, only the out of contract free agents no one wants, hence the Huns hoovering up this usual squad pish, the recent guy they’ve signed the 32 year old “Nigerian international” has NEVER commanded a transfer fee in his life...is this the type of players you think we should be signing?......thought not......

I reckon, it's about time big Sutton changed the record. He seems to come with this stuff every transfer window, yet Celtic have won EVERY DOMESTIC TROPHY up for grabs for the past 4 years. It's getting tiresome. Whilst new signings can get everyone excited, i certainly don't think we need 4 of them to win the league. Actually, I don't think we NEED any. I'd still be very confident that we'd do that with what we already have. Backup? We have a raft of youngsters chapping at the door and quite a few signings that have yet to prove themselves. I would certainly have been happy if we had signed Forster, but from what i have seen of Bain, i'd have no real concerns there. Have any of the challengers strengthened? None, from what i can see. Whilst I understand the importance of winning 10 in a row, we should not get our knickers in a twist about how difficult it will be. We still have a team that has been over this ground many times and who know what it takes to win the title once again, with or without additions.

Don't think Sutton is telling the fans anything we don't know already know. A top centre half would be ideal rather than a prospect as there is a lot at stake this season out test is the board thinking that because we have better players we are guaranteed to win the league just look back at the Huns when they went for the 10 their squad was better than ours at that time and they thought it was there for the taking. Our guys will need to be at the top of their game all season to secure the 10 and try to make any sort of impression in Europe

The Decima is the history making goal and is non negotiable. The various cups are of course worth winning but the Decima is the ONLY history making target that matters. What a great time to be alive and watch Celtic. If It is not achieved then Peter Lawwell must resign.
