I thought he could have done much better.....although there was deflections.....there was no real pace on the shot.....I would hope the Athenian Fenian would have stopped it...
I like him. He;s growing into his Celtic shirt very well

How good is it to see the Tic back 
Brilliant first game back, so many positives. 5 goals! Eddy showing his class with an opening day hat trick! Wee Frimpong running amok! Moi's creativeness! Taylor throwing in some lovely crosses! Forrest's cross for Eddy's 3rd! Klimala getting on the score sheet. All in all a really enjoyable game and a cracking start to the season.
A few lapses at the back but will put that down to rustiness and deploying Taylor & Frimpong as wing-backs, don't get me wrong thought both were brilliant today but using them in this way leaves us exposed down the flanks, price you pay for such an attack minded set-up but probably worth it in games such as this.

Two deflections, one off CalMac which altered the course of the ball for what Jullien thought would be clearance. No one would have stopped it after those two deflections, not ever Forster. Thought Bain had a good game, with only that one blemish.

4-0 popular I went same on the Superbru. Was delighted to be wrong when we win with style. First half rustiness showed, but wow, the boot in the backside at the break worked wonders. That second half was just where we left off in March. Pleased for Polish Pat bagging a goal, Karamoko getting a run out. All in all a solid win and top of the tree.I wanted to be the one to kick off the new season (sorry WC).
I predict 4-0 to celtic but to be honest I'm not really fussed about the match because something much better on its way.........SANDMANS RATINGS WILL BE BACK!!!!!!

Poor kid. Under most circumstances, a 5-1 game would get you a good scolding, if not the firing squad (no pun intended), but he made some great saves in a game that should have been 8-1.

Two good points.....PP scoring an excellent goal and the wee man been getting the nod tells him he’s in the reckoning.....positive stuff

Got to say I was never a fan of Bitton as a Centre-Mid (great passer and had good positional sense but thought he lacked a turn of pace, wasn't combatant enough and was just too laid back a player for that area of the park) was a bit confused about what position he was suited to tbh but I actually quite like him as a Centre Back.
Think his passing, positional sense and non-combatant style works for him in the CB role. Never seems to get caught out of position, never seems to lunge in with a rash challenge and his passing ability allows us to get the ball out from the back really well.
Probably gonnae get caned for this but I actually prefer him to Ajer as a CB.

Without a doubt James,having said that I would love to see Aaron Hickey with that jersey on and Taylor a good back up.

I don't understand the noise about Hickey tbh mate. Maybe in the games I've seen him in he's been played out of position. However, we've got the coaches to take his game up several levels. Worth a look at/punt for 1.5 million.

Also Big Julien is going to be a badman for us this season. He'll defo get more than 7 goals this season.

I think with Hickey there is no position yet. Left back/wing back or further forward and can do the same on the right. Once he fills out he could be a defensive mid or a box to box midfielder. We need to get this guy nailed down. At 1.5 million he's a utility player to replace Hayes with the potential to be anything he wants to be.
