Seems Fraser has been told after rejecting us to stake a place at st Mary’s that he is free to find a loan club again as a Celtic supporter I would take him back in a heartbeat even tho we Signed barkas i would still have Fraser as number 1 his performance in the cup final and lazio and various other games has shown us as supporters what he has to offer we haven’t seen much of barkas as he doesn’t have much to do domestically but I would prefer Fraser all day long and if the chance comes to have him back then I would Take him what do you guys think
would take him but I suspect wages are the reason he not already here

I'm sure we could get him for less than that, and he would take a wage cut. His wages and Southamptons asking price wasn't the issue. He felt he done enough with us to fight his way back into contention for a 1st team place at Southampton - that was his reasons - I can respect that. Now he knows that's not gonny happen, we should pursue it.

And as for being disrespectful, I suppose you're right. I don't have much respect for Lennon because he's became a Yes Man.

Downsizing will become more likely with him in the job. If the board decide tomorrow to sell Eddy, Ntcham, McGregor and Lennons own Granny, I very much doubt he'll stand in the way.
Think you might be been a bit harsh there Fader. From what has been reported we as a club done all we could to get him back for this season but he is a saints player and what they were demanding was ridiculous plus no way could we or would we match the contract he is on at the moment. Even if we got him on loan this season we would still find ourselves in the same position at the start of next season with no recognised keeper. We will face the same problem with duffy at the end of this season as the simple fact is we can not match the wages players can get in the EPL. We are currently building for the long term as players bought in are on lounger contracts so it will cost a lot of money for them to be taken from us which gives us a more settled squad for the future long term. Unfortunately forster dose no longer fall into that bracket with us. It would be madness to look to take him now as if we were to make him number 1 what dose that say to barkas and the money spent on him. Can we afford to pay millions for forster to sit on a bench this would be nonsense for us to deal with. The way I see it is if he really wanted to be here like duffy did he also could have done more himself to make that happen but he didn't yet he will always be a hero to us. As for Lennon I believe the board are putting a lot of trust in him and he can only repay that trust by bringing home the 10iar and still that may not save his job for next season if we have a poor showing in the europa league. All will get revealed to us in the next few weeks as the squad gets finalised sadly to say possibly without forster

Who did you want as the manager? 🍺 🥳

When news broke FF wasnt for returning I felt disappointed in him at first thinking that as brilliant he was for us we gave him a platform to show hes brilliant . On the dust settling I now think that he owes us nothing , hes not Scottish and wants to get back into the England squad and thinks he cant do that here but can in the EPL. Whether that's right or not doesnt matter that boats sailed and weve spent a fair bit on an international keeper who imo looks the type that needs to know that we are all for him before we get to see him at his confident best and I'm sure we will. A couple of good performances with some superb match winning saves and he will endear himself to us and we will show him the love. When that happens we'll see the real Barkas , right now he still looks a wee bit overawed and shocked by the sheer size of Celtic and weve seen this many times before. FF is the best Celtic goalie I've ever seen including the holy goalie and was always going to be a tough act to follow. He can become a legend in one season by being the goalie for the side who won the 10 and FF can play away in England and best of luck to him if hes not signed by some bigger club than soton then I'm baffled by that as it was injury that led to him losing his place there and poor form on return, theres no time for that in the cut throat EPL mid table. Hes also the type who needed a bit of love to get the best out of him. Hopefully he'll get a good move and Barkas and Bain will do nicely for me ☘

Naw he fucked it, he wanted the dosh more than the club so for me it's we move with the new guy and Scott Bain.
100 percent agree with this. Foster had a chance to make history (and decent wages) if he stayed at Celtic. He chose not to. Now he's riding the pine in Southampton, or going elsewhere. Thanks for your time at Celtic, sorry you couldn't make it work out here, and good luck on your future endeavours.

Lennon won't have the balls to ask the board to go back in for Forster. He knows he's lucky to be manager again. So after the failed attempts to bring back Forster for another season, he'll just be grateful they at least tried and were nice enough to allow him to sign another keeper.
Why would he ask? He doesn't need the balls to ask because Lennon is smarter than that. We've got two capable goalkeepers and, to be honest, we don't need Forster. Also, from what I have read from many sources, the club did all it could to bring him back and it was Forster's choice to stay.

Maybe you should get better news sources.

No chance!! He doesn’t want to be there so best of luck to him.

The 1st time we got him on loan, MD, Lenny had the nutts to demand we go all out to sign him permanent. He's since been neutered by Lawwell. If he says we done all we could to bring him back, Lennon will simply accept that and move on. No questions asked.

He said no for a return for good reason, I believe, but all the BS aside, we could be doing with him back. Ginger baws should grow a pair and demand we go back in for him. Highly doubt it though.

Just accept it, Frazer didn’t want to come back.. fuck all to do with Lennons balls. He will be warming a bench somewhere where he’ll have plenty of time counting his medals.. sorry money.

Now he's riding the pine- Love that Larry. Wee bit of American slang? Mind if I drop that in some time? Class :)

We say that in baseball, mostly, but yeah -- go ahead and use it.

A corollary: Mike Krukow, part of the San Francisco Giants broadcast team, usually says, "Grab some pine, meat," when an opposing batter strikes out. Somewhat legendary in these parts.

I'd say Lennons pissed off with foster. He gave him a chance before and put him in the shop window and then when his career was floundering he gave him the chance again. Forster done well for us, but unfortunately it looks like he used Celtic, but now it seems his grand plan has failed.
So I'd be inclined to leave him where he is.
Good luck and mind the step!

I find it sad that every time there's a debate about why a player left us or wouldn't sign for us we always get the usual money response. There's no towbar on the hearse. Ian Wright talked about it when speaking about henrik Larsson. Larsson was offered obscene amounts of money early in his Celtic career to leave yet he hung around for as long as he did and yes he got his big move eventually. But as Ian Wright said, he never seen the the likes of the love or adulation shown by Celtic supporters towards Larsson, something money can't buy.
I'd rather be remembered for what I did on the field and not the money I earned. That's the real definition of success. I know a lot of people on here won't agree with that, but that's ok.
At the end of the day a few square feet a ground is all we need unless you go for the heeled over the edge of a boat or the scorched in the furnace route!

Very true and sadly that is the way it is football players can be like mercenaries and only interested in the money that can be on offer more so than the glory of winning trophies. We can't compete with the ridiculous sums been paid in the EPL but they can't compete against us with the fan support we give to our players. Of course some are going to use us to put themselves in the shop window and also we create players who well deserve to play on the bigger stage. So getting that balance right is not easy but as long as they are prepared to give there all for us and want to be here then it is something we have to live with. We hope that we never lose that passion out on the pitch and it continues to match that of the support and together we will continue to march forward and upwards to greater glory. Put a price on that for anyone who don't want to be part of it.

It's ok to have an opinion, but that's bang out of order
You don't like Neil Lennon, that's your call, but don't come on here and start shouting the odds about a Celtic LEGEND
Have some respect ,for what he's done for our club
