Board has to have a seriously look at next year !!!!!

Here's a thought ( a 600ml bottla San Miguel does that tom me ) I actually wanted to make this a thread to see how we all felt about this. I'm not sure we'll win the ten but believe it or not I think the way we go forward after this season is more important. Like every other business/industry this virus has f*cked football as we know it and I really believe that the global economy will take YEARS to recover. We all know revenues have been devastated, player values will drop, purchasing power will be severely diluted European competitions will be less lucrative without fans and a lot of clubs will go to the wall and despite our consistent contempt for the board they are not stupid with the clubs finances. I have a notion that the way forward in terms of economic survival as a club will be to jettison high value loanees, sell ( if we can ), high earning players going out of contract and acquire as many homegrown talents as we can to supplement what we've got. To that end I would sign Porteous ( Hibs ) Ferguson ( Aberdeen ) Ali McCann and MacNamara ( St Johnstone ) Campbell and Gallagher ( Motherwell ) to supplement Hazzard, Taylor, Frimpong Connell, MacInroy, Welsh, Turnbull, Soro, O.Connor, Johnstone, Harper, Afolabi, Robertson and the remaining senior pros Bain, Barkas, Elhamed, Biton, Julienne, Laxalt ( I hope) Mc Gregor Forrest Johnstone Griff Ajeti Klimala Dembele . In the aftermath of the ten attempt WE MAY HAVE TO give youth a chance in the face of economic chaos

Did you write that yourself or get a ghost writer in to do it. 👻👻👻😂😂😂😂

Dont think I agree with all of that Allybhoy, aye you could argue that the current world health situation namely covid19 will have knocked players values down, I agree that's true. For the top players though ? Edouard (imo of course ) he will definately go for at least £30 million and McGregor I believe that if he decides to leave Celtic, though I'm not so sure that he would ever want to, will go for over £20 million. You or others could argue that's wishful thinking but, we sold an academy defender for £25 million in Tierney and he is a defender. I dont believe that KT is or was any more an influential player than calmac and he is definitely one of Celtic's top commodities. Edouard ? The french are raving about him being better than dembele and he only went for £19 million as the club were left in a no win situation else I believe that he would be our current record sale. I always laugh ( not at you) but those across the city who try to belittle the price tags we put on our players. Look at Upemecano, a defender who was (not sure now) with Leipzig when we played them. Hes being linked with all manner of European clubs and hes a defender. A defender in the same french u21 team that Edouard is breaking records for right now , I read they call him the double due to his incredible scoring record , every time he plays he scores 2 at least. We wont get £30 million because PSG have allegedly put a huge sell on clause of something like 20% or higher. How much truth is in that only time will tell though I find it unlikely that the board would sanction a £9 million signing for a teenager knowing that the club would need to sell at close to £50 million to get proper sell on value. I'm guessing it is more like 15% but that's still high but Celtic had to move fast to replace dembele and in edouard they have not only replaced theyve upgraded. In all the time (3 seasons feels longer) that weve had eddy he has had one barren spell and even then covid and injury played a part as he was flying at the seasons start. Going off on a tangent but the upshot is I personally believe that if we can sell KT, a defender for £25 million then at £30 million eddys a steal. Yes it's the SPL but the international u21 is such a high standard and if whilst still at Celtic he gets his inevitable call up to the seniors itll be a bidding war and the club could be looking at way higher than 30. Scottish football is on the up again with both Glasgow clubs and now the national team. That'll help players values across the division☘
Would French Eddie's sell on clause not be 20% of the profit if it's 20% of anything? I can't see PL sanctioning a deal where we would have to sell French Eddie for £11.25M to equal the payments to PSG (£9M + £2.25M) before recouping his wages is even considered.

I've no idea and agree that would seem unlikely , the sell on clause is something that came up last window, how accurate is it that psg have a 20% clause is anyones guess.
