Celtic v Ross County - Match Thread

The culmination of events leading up to today's debacle should have been dealt with by a competent board before now. The issues have been staring them in the face for some time now.
The board's failure to tackle them is now resulting in Neil Lennon being pilloried, his reputation being shredded, fans turning on each other and the reputation of the club being tarnished.
For me, this is primarily the fault of a CEO, whose intrusive, controlling, egotistical wanderings into football related affairs, that he knows very little about, causing mayhem.
Add to this, his abysmal failure to recognise the negative impact of the FWA on the business he is CEO of, and his inaction and subsequent undermining of the Resolution 12 issue. Any one of these alone in my opinion should merit instant dismissal. Instead he is rewarded with an astronomical bonus related salary.
When the current management team go, they should be immediately followed out the door by Peter Lawell, who is now more of a millstone around the neck of our club than an asset to it.
Peter Lawell is replaceable. You can always get a very good CEO if you pay enough money. But a possible once in a lifetime TIAR achievement is a thing of great rarity.
His penny pinching, controlling and interfering style of management has put TIAR on a cliff's edge.
Time for Dermot Desmond and the board to step up and remove all obstacles in the way of achieving it.
It can still be achieved.
Peter Lawell must be sidelined and have no hand, act, say or part in the appointment of a new manager, assistant manager or coaching staff.
If he has, it is a total dereliction of duty by the board.
Whit POD said 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 🍺

Great Post.
POD. 👍put perfectly

Would slap you in the fanny most likely 👍
If I was in the business of fanny pointing I would look no further than the erstwhile Lennon fanboy who was '100% behind Neil Lennon' a few hours ago and has spent the last months shrieking at my every exposure of the managerial imposter.

What about fanny slapping??

Never sat easily with me. Always admired him for calling the support out for shower of loyalist trash they are.
My views on the matter have been well-enough aired but I think it's fair to say the lack of character was evident from an early stage of his professional career.

What about dwarfs?

Do you like them? 👍
I believe they prefer to be called 'little people' for that is what they are.

Brilliant post 👏👏👏 thank you for that.

Ok then.what has gone wrong at Celtic? There is undoubtedly a malaise throughout the team. Goalkeeper, jury out but hasn't shown any real quality so far. Defence, cant defend set pieces, positionally inept and filled with midfielders masquerading as centre halves.
Midfield, stale, unproductive and do not protect defence when full backs maraud forward, lacks physicality and is often imbalanced .
Forwards, once again lacking physicality, pace , heading ability and hindered by one up front tactics and constant rotation which thwarts any two centre forwards gaining any cohesion or understanding .
In my opinion, I believe we have been playing without an out and out centre forward for too long. Edouard is a quality player going forward and running at defences and will score his share of goals but I don't believe he is a natural striker.
Our best natural striker is definitely Griffiths but unfortunately ,for whatever reason he cant be relied on. Ajeti has possibilities but midfield aren't creating chances. With Forrest out we are also struggling for wingers. Frimpong could be deployed there but not as a marauding full back.
A lot of these problems could have been rectified if the board had backed lenny properly. How many players have we been after but did not sign because lawwell put in derisory offers. Ivan Toney for example. Scoring for fun in the Championship but we end up panic buying Ajeti who quite frankly very few of us had heard of.
Despite all this I believe the ten can still be saved with the right management appointment. An appointment that would change our tactics and give expensive fringe players a chance.
How sweet would it be if we could turn this around and stuff it right up the Hun? Can still happen. Keep the faith.🤞🤞

Even if we got a decent coach in, would he have time to improve the fitness of the squad and reverse the bad habits that have festered under Lennon before the hun game or even the next league game? I can’t see us winning any more games the way things are. We are so beatable it’s shocking. Lennon’s slobbish, amateurish approach has effectively neutered this team. It will take a complete rebuild over the next year to make changes. It’s devastating to think the 10 was destroyed by someone we thought was one of our own.

Players should all be put on double training sessions for the next four weeks and they should be made to practice taking & defending set pieces/corners for at least a couple of hours every day on top of that. No more days off either. Brown needs stripped of the captaincy as well.

Is it possible we just became bored of winning?
