Anybody want to wait 2 or 3 years for Howe to catch up with the brutality of the Scottish game? Or to find out what Celtic is about.

What makes you think that Howe doesnt know the Scottish game? All he need know of Celtic I'm pretty sure that he'll already know perhaps the worldwide size might surprise him as it does all who join the club. Even still , to answer the question, yes I'd be willing to wait if he needed that time because I'm certain that the dividends hed return would be worth it.

But you have just plucked that out of thin air with no basis in reality.
How much experience does EH have of Scottish football? Would you realistically expect him to win in his first year up here. If not he is already into his second year before he can win it as a minimum. That would be kinda real scenario for me. Not trying to be difficult. Just my opinion.

Of course Vbhoy opinions all good mate 👍 I'd say that he has far much more knowledge of the Scottish game than Wim Jansen ever had and just as much as Rodgers whod never been involved in our game either. I'm answering by saying yes I'd be prepared to give him that time but I don't think hed need it such is his abilities. I'm more concerned about the future of Celtic long term, Howe is the kind of manager and coach who can take us places and if that takes a wee bit of time so be it , better that than jack ross imo a decent but not a top manager which Howe undoubtedly is HH ☘

I appreciate that is your opinion and respect it, but it is purely plucked out of thin air. No he hasn't managed in Scotland before but he has a proven track record of successfully coaching at all levels in English football where he develops and improves players through coaching. Why shouldn't that translate to success with Celtic? Unlike many managers these days he has learned his trade and has a lot of experience.

Now there is no guarantee for success whenever you bring in a new manager or player. But psst history is a good guide to the likelihood of success.

Jansen, o'Neill, Strachan, Delia & Rodgers had no managerial experience in Scotland before they joined us and we didn't have to hang about for 2 or 3 years to enjoy success with them at the helm.

Mowbray had enjoyed success with Hibs and was a terrible failure (admittedly during the season of the honest mistakes, which he happily took on the chin).

So my opinion is that we probably wouldn't have to wait 2 or 3 years for success and if we got him in now then our chances of succeeding next season and hopefully qualifying for the Champions League will increase significantly if he gets several month to coach our players and help organise outgoing and incoming transfers.

NL has been around Scottish football for quite some time now and his experience isn't doing anything for us.

Sorry the quad treble and 9 were a blip
It's history and most of the quad treble wasn't his doing and we are on a steepening downward path under his management. We scraped our way to the 4th treble with a shitshow against a lower division team and a couple of penalty saves by the reserve goalkeeper... it certainly didn't come about because of Lennon's tactical mastery!

The same could be said of any achievement in history. Lenny started the nine and was responsible for most of it. But the last 20 games in a Covid catastrophy with 3 Frenchmen in is squad is his legacy. Rock on.

Yeah, well let's just keep Lennon then. He is clearly a tactical genius below the mask of incapability and he has the motivation of a top drill sergeant hiding behind those folded arms.

The fact he won a treble with the remnants of Rodgers' team and couldn't win one before must just be a coincidence.

Better send an email to Liverpool .... Klopp is killing the team having been odds on to win the league this year. He seems tactically inept.

Klopp has forgotten more about tactics than Lennon will ever learn. There are several teams in the EPL that can challenge. There are two here (though there shouldn't be).

Vigobhoy this is not the time for getting into a disagreement with yourself.
I know and respect your defense of lenny fair enough even if I disagree.
But can you clear this up for me, are you claiming much of our current problems on the field of play are mainly because we have got a French revolution on our hands?

You tell me We relied on Eddy this year. Ntcham started the wantaways in the dressing room, and Julia is as relevant as Duffy in defence. Almost 30% of the first team squad .... could not work on an iron lung. No heart.
