Weah is on his way...just in!

Where’s the central defenders? Forget the midfield is BR only ever going to sign so called prospects and midfielders? Hendry gone out on loan, if he’s thought by those in the know as a future talent for us then get rid of Boyata now, not tomorrow or the next day. I see talent in young Celts ( Ralston eg.) play them and give them the time on field with us, forget this 6 months loan business, it’s just putting off the inevitable. What would have happened if we had followed that route with KT? Let’s face facts here BR is inflexible and cannot see past himself and his favoured few (Scott Sinclair) His decision lack commen sense ie. why play a young upcoming winger as a CF in the most barbaric atmosphere you would ever come across? Great introduction to that particular game, put out of position? A player we put out on loan past 2 years running our midfield to go with it ( admittedly he had been playing out of his skin prior ) got bullied out of the game as after SB got booted in the nether regions he went into his shell leaving no back up to assist in mixing it up in the middle. This was always going to be a kicking match from them as the had seen when we had lost to Killi and Hearts that when we are brought into an early physical battle we shy away.

I've never rated him but he did improve after the world cup.Far too lightweight and gives me the fear when hes got the ball at his feet a panic merchant.Another i would like to see the back of is Sinclair great first season but been pish since and an utter shitebag of a player .Still have faith in the team and the board unlike some on here .HH

Not usually a fan of loan deals but can see the point for this season. Ibrox has obviously decided to put a team together at any cost— by their standards— to try to win the league and stop Celtic’s brilliant run Makes sense for Celtic to counter by getting better players in by any means including short term loans

Good point, John, but they have to be of real quality.

Apparently the Weah deal is for 18 months according to the Daily Mail,

A loan move for Weah, son of former Ballon D'Or winner George, was delayed while the 18-year-old penned a contract extension with PSG until 2021.

The powerful attacker will now have a medical examination in Dubai tomorrow before meeting his new team-mates, with paperwork all but complete on what is believed to be an 18-month deal.

Looks like a shake up the squad signing Bill, as you say the summer window is when the team building should be done, if we don't sign anyone on a full time basis I would even accept a pre contract player so you know he's there on day 1 of pre season, I'd hate to think when we're playing qualifiers in july we're still hunting additions to the team.

Summer window is too late for the CL qualification.

Glad to see some reinforcements coming in and hope both the new bhoys can make an immediate impact. Hope that's the last loan deal though, it's now time to address the long term problem positions in the team by adding some experience and long term solutions.
