Has the time come for the Celtic hierarchy to agree to regular meetings with supporter representatives?

I think it's fair to say there is a significant disconnect between the Celtic Board and the ordinary supporters.

Would regular meetings say every 3 months or so between Celtic and nominated representatives help to bridge that disconnect?

I know some will say it will never happen but I'm of the opinion that it would do some good.

If this was to happen what would you like to see raised at such meetings?

It's a great idea in principle, Imatim, but even judging by the diversity of opinion on sites such as this, I think it would be virtually impossible to get a fans representative who doesn't split opinion.

There's perhaps scope for valid nominees who will have the floor to present their credentials.

With the amount of fans groups and Celtic themed sites, there is an opportunity to make a digital presentation by the selected nominees which could then be put to an online poll.

Think it may be a step too far for the board though!

Even if they fielded a selection of written queries from the fans and published the answers, that would at least open a line of dialogue and be seen as some form of reciprocation.

This should be the role of the Liason officer and all groups

I agree with points made about who would be able to represent the fans. I would think that if it was populated by nodding donkeys and people just happy to be there, then that would be useless.

Would they want someone on there who would tell them straight what our concerns were? I doubt that very much.

In principle I would agree but the devil would be in the detail. The scope of their influence, their ability to affect change. Getting a tour and soft soaped would drive me mental. A pat of the head, told how great we are and pish like that.

No matter what you said, half the support would disagree probably.

My support would go to anybody who implemented no bonus unless we qualify for the CL.

So, I’d be fucked from the off. :)
