Looks like the tide has turned against Griff.

A memo to our scouting department. Any potential signings must possess the following.....The stoicism of Marcus Aurelius, the physique of Adonis, the sheer will to win of Alexander the Great, and the discipline of The Dalai Lama. Govan's teemin' wi' blokes like that......It would also be good if we could find a coach with some knowledge of those philosophies . Or maybe at least with a Greek sounding name. Rab C just Disnae cut it ! Can I ask you a question Fis ? Are you such a perfectionist when it comes to your chosen profession ? Naw, on second thoughts !
Still looking for a publisher for a textbook "How to Cure Anxiety in Just Five Therapy Sessions'

While definitely not my favourite player of all time I still believe that this guy is the best striker in Scotland. Was totally mismanaged with the result that he hardly kicked a ball for us. What he needs is a manager to put his arm round his shoulder and tell him that he's loved. Still wont be the best trainer in the world but could easily get back to 40 goals a season. Just ask yourself this question if he goes to Aberdeen or to Hibs who fancies coming up against him next season. Get him signed up and playing regular and sit back and watch him go.

Agreed - we are losing so many - he can stay and see how important he is as our no 1 striker rather then trooping on when Eddy has had enough and can't be ersed. Has he ever been tried with Ajeti ? You can just see him ripping in a free kick for someone against us next year. He is apparently training now if recent clip was valid.

When pre-season training starts in a couple of weeks I would dock a months pay off any player who turned up weighing more kilos. That would save the club a fortune.

Thing about Griff is, that he got more love and tolerance and goodwill from the support than any other modern-day Celtic player. Everybody wanted him to succeed and defy the haters.

But, in the most important season of all, when being paid like a king to become an immortal, he failed miserably to provide the discipline, focus, and committment to the cause required.

There's no more empathy, or sympathy to give. He had the chance of many a lifetime anybody reading this would kill for. He treated it with apathy akin to contempt. He let himself and all of us down. They all did. And exhausted any future enthusiasm for their presence in the Hoops.
