Ange

So the team will probably be...
Barko or Scotty
Tony Steveo Christo Gregsie
Bitto Isi Daveo Tommy
Cals or Jamesie
Albi
and maybe a couple of newbies. Strewth!

After I did that I thought I'd look to see who was in the reserve squad.
I was shocked at what I found, or rather didn't find.

ooooooooooooooo consultant you say Francis
I'm sure i've heard of them before, never got to see one :ROFLMAO:

like the evolution of the NHS to today, they are spread thin

Your daughter like many other thousands deserve a medal for this last year and a bit
They've devoted more than they really should have been required in that time 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

PS i've heard nothing but rave reviews of life in NZ
But as the saying goes there's no place like home
My wife is a nurse STG, and although semi-retired
She's been helping with the vaccination effort. So you're correct we owe them a great deal.

Docco yet you still keep banging the drum with Kennedy, Maloney and Brown. (A) Brown is going down his own route. (B) Kennedy has proven to be part of our problem. 4 wins in 11 and chance to change things with new ideas. He proved he was a Lennon clone. (C) Maloney will probably follow Martinez as his assistant and Martinez is alledgedly a candidate for the job at Barca.
Time to change the tune my friend and move on.

A/ he would have taken role at the tic if offered
B/ no question but like I said, he will become youth coach
C/ he will come to Celtic, I've no doubt
D/ Naw 🤣👍

I was right up for the idea of Howe when I thought he was a big enough man for the job but it turns out he wasn't. Sod him.

Every appointment is a risk but it's complete ignorance to dismiss the man's achievements because they weren't in Europe. The Japanese league is better than ours, with a wider range of strong teams and a higher level of technical ability. Yokohama F. Marinos hadn't won the league in 15 years before he romped it. My family in Australia say he's the best coach of any sport (individual or team) in the history of the country - that's an insane compliment for a country as sport-obsessed!

I have some concerns:
He says it can take six months for his message to get through to the players. He won't get that here and by then we could be ten points or more behind the Zombies. Hopefully not because they're bang average and you'd hope we'll have enough to see off the rest in the meantime.
He's coming in at a caustic time. A lot of fans will be less supportive of him than any other new Celtic manager I can think of. I hope most will give him at least a fair chance.

Big Ange:
*is an immigrant with an immigrant's fighting mentality.
*he faced discrimination growing up and has been treated as an outsider even within the game of football.
*he's used to facing a hostile media.
*he's a family man with compassionate values.
*he was a big defender who knew his limitations but thought his way through games and knew his forte would be coaching (sound like anyone?)
*he was always a captain, even with his limited playing ability, because he's a leader of men.
*his teams play beautiful, inventive football.
*he's definitely not a chequebook manager because he's hardly spent at club level and his speciality with club and country has been to coach the players till they become better.
*he said "Aye!" when the cowards and mercenaries did not.

What about that doesn't scream CELTIC?

Seen a couple of vids of players we are supposedly chasing....Fuck me man, The Japanese Lubo and Paul McStay...
Also wouldn't be available until after the Tokyo games, which in reality might not make any potential players available until the end of August at earliest. Would have hoped most potential signings are in the door before the season starts

True but if the videos (I know YouTube could make me look good) are anything to go by, these boys look top drawer 👍😎

Does anyone think he'll keep CalMac as Captain? I have my doubts about his leadership qualities. The way he lost it a few times last season surprised me, especially in the game against them when he got sent off.
Be more interesting brimcbhoy in seeing what role he actually wants him to play?
Hope that 2 holding midfielders is ditched as calmac not best suited for imo.
Hope he can be used more in an attacking role as a waste for me defensively.
Rather the armband given to someone else so he can concentrate on his own game more so

Yeh it will be interesting. BR and NL both over used Calmac to the point of burn out I think. He was a lot less effective last term. I have a feeling we'll see some younger lads getting a run out. He should have ideas who he'd like in the squad. Maybe buy in a Captain in defence.

Certainly a marquee CB is required and hopefully with a respect to warrant the armband wouldn't be a bad shout brimcbhoy

Anybody know if he has actually arrived. Just read somewhere that he is now in quarantine but had not heard anything about his arrival
