I'm ready to declare

I have been waiting for the huns to nominate their new manager but I have been ready to make my declaration since before 'Slippery' decided to leg it back down south. I believe he was protecting his rep amongst the huns because the writing has been on the wall for more than a month now, so here it is.
I have been declaring since July (on this forum) that we would win the league by 5 to 8 points this season and that Slippy would be gone by March. Surprise surprise...
Now I am prepared to upgrade my declaration substantially.
We will win the treble this year. There, it's out there. I suggested about a month ago that we would win the treble before Slippy left. It was just a feeling but now I firmly believe it. I would have preferred to wait for the new manager to be announced but this declaration is not about any other team in Scotland. Just Celtic.

Solidarity brother!!

Start of the season, I was of the opinion that if we were within 6 points going into the Winter break, then we had far better than a punchers chance of winning the league.

I didn't think that mob had the bottle for a tight squeaky run-in. Their bottle crashed when the pressure was on previously, but they were pretty much home and hosed after the New Year game last season.

No fans. Rigged refs. Pish opposition (particularly Celtic).

Regardless of the slippy comedy road show, this mob would still have snapped like a kit-kat at the first sign of pressure.

Castore might want to introduce a new pair of brown home shorts in the New Year. It won't help with the stench, but they'll help hide the skiddies

Could this be a candidate? This guy is clearly champing at the bit for a job like this, and as he says, hes got the profile for a job like this as he's never put a foot wrong.
C'mon Sevco, snap him up quick.

Lennon, who has also managed Bolton and Hibs as well as two stints in Glasgow, now appears to be the forgotten man.

He said: “It is a bit of a mystery. I think I’ve done a decent job wherever I’ve been.”

However, the ex-Hoops captain takes encouragement from Howe’s recent appointment and St James’s Park and, speaking to the Sunday People, added: “For a long time, everyone talked about Eddie being relegated at Bournemouth and not the huge success he enjoyed previously.

“But Newcastle saw the bigger picture and Eddie’s back in the game now.

“I’d love to think that it will be similar for me.”

fair enough. £10 on the treble it is then. My main reason, apart from Vigo's ringing endorsement, is that I think we will strengthen considerably in Jan.
after seeing off Hibs in the league cup final of course.

I'm declaring this

Celtic to win the league (possibly a treble)

The "Rangers" to go cheap with the next manager possibly McInnes or Murty
Their brief will be to consolidate second place.
Sell at least two players in January (plus Goldson is out of contract) and keep the lights on
Once second place is guaranteed they file for administration and take the 15 point hit
They clear the debt and get the high earners of the books.
You might as well lose the league by 25 points as by 10

Start again next year but probably making the same old mistakes

Still deluded then eh?

Latest name in the hat Ronald Koeman(no laughing) chances are McInnes could end up there to the end of the season similar to Lennon coming in when Rogers upped sticks, that way they get to see if he'up to the job
Tell you though, McInnes would shit a brick if big fat Dougie approached him in the showers at the end o' the season.

It'd be like wee Princess Leia getting the fear aff Jabba the Hutt

No need to get ahead of ourselves. Always take one game at a time. We always have to win despite the Mason in black. Rangers have to win the league to get 40 million pounds in the CL next season That's 40 million reasons to cheat. Rangers are hosing away 3 million a month and that 40M is their liferaft. The edict has gone out. Celtic will never be allowed to win the league.
