Celtic v Hearts, 7:45pm Thursday 2nd December

Extract from Robbie Neilson's rant to the BBC last night after the match when asked about Bobby Madden’s decision to go for a drop-ball after Jota’s injury:

I’d end up going to jail if I said what I really think about it. I’ve never seen anything like it in my life. The boy pulls his hamstring and the referee stops the game and gives them the ball back when we’re going to counter-attack. But that’s Scottish football… You’re in Glasgow.”

Yes, that is right - he honestly thinks the worst decision last night was that one (he has noticeably gone very quiet on the stonewall penalty he was demanding for Gary Mackay-Stevens being wiped out in our box by his own feet).

So the Celtic player pulls up injured which is the only reason Hearts gain possession of the ball - but when the ref stopped play Celtic had the ball! Maybe he'd like to comment on the times Celtic breaks were stopped because of Hearts players feigning injury??? Or comment on the large numbers of fouls his team were allowed to commit and escape being penalised by free kicks or yellow cards as per the laws of the game? I thought not. Now go and get your hair cut and give it a long-overdue shampoo you tramp.

Or how long it takes their keeper to take a bye kick, 35/40 secs after he has possession of the ball, or ask him why his player wasn't booked after 20 secs for going over the ball and stamping on Ralston who consequently had to be subbed.

I'd love Ange to be invited into the studio with boyd they way lennon and brendan used to be after some matched....Big Ange would rip him apart and leave the fat wanker rolling about the floor begging for his mum. We won't have to wait long till he is sitting in a studio watching the scum get a massive decision in their favour....let's see if the cunt is begging for VAR then.

I cant find the post match press conference with Ange. Has anyone got a link. I've heard he took no prisoners with the media idiots again....is that right???

Footage has emerged of the incident where Hearts defender John Souttar disgracefully grabs Celtic striker Kyogo by the skin....

Video: Souttar Caught Red Handed – One for the Compliance Officer…

Saw this last night on sky WC. That wanker walker said "not sure why kyogos throwing himself to the ground".....at said at the time that soutter had grabbed his skin!!! Walker was all for hearts players throwing themselves on the ground....and can I add...madhun was looking right at it!!!

Glad to get the points but the cost of those points is significant.
Wouldn't like to guess on the severity of the injuries but jota/welsh look like hamstring and going by the look on Ralstons face it didn't look good.

The thought of losing ralston+jota for even a month is massive. The sooner we are updated the better...

Though Starfelt did well all things considered. Hearts seemed to have a very specific tactic in the shape of their press - to funnel possession at him and force a mistake or a sloppy pass.

To his credit he did fairly well. I don't think Hearts quite had the pace to shut him down or his options so for the most part welsh and hart were able to provide an outlet....nerve jangling as it was for me to watch 😆.

Calmac did come back to help but ended up crowded resulting in another backpass. I think we needed Rogic and Turnbull to be on the same wavelength and offer angles to nullify the press and take he ball out of our half quicker.

Video footage in our Sandman coverage today...

And here's the text from one of the interviews...

How happy are you with that in the end Ange?

I'm really pleased as I thought we started the game really well and we dominated the way the game was played and we played it on our terms. We lacked a little bit of a ruthless edge as we had chances to get that second goal but we didn't and the opposition hangs in there but I thought we were resilient and I still don't think Joe (Hart) had any outstanding saves to make. We lost some players during the game which disrupted it and I am pleased with the win and the performance.

You mentioned that word resilience was that a good thing considering Hearts kept pushing when it was just 1-0 and were still in the game?

They are always in the game when it is 1-0 as anything can happen and I still thought we defended well without getting opened up too much and there were some set-pieces obviously which always put you under pressure but we handled it not too badly, Yeah the opposition is always in the game when it is 1-0.

Robbie Neilson wasn't happy as he thought your goal was offside - what was your view on it?

It's a goal mate. I'll let it go, mate. It is a weekly...if people think the referee decided this game then that is their analysis.

You mentioned injuries - how are the three that had to come off?

I don't know we'll get a round-up from the medical staff. Tony (Ralston) felt something in his ankle which is disappointing considering the fact that he has been outstanding for us. With the others, I will just wait to see how they get through.

Is that a worry given the number of games coming up?

It is always a worry but that is why we have got a squad. It was great for Carl (Starfelt) and Tommy (Rogic) to get back in and I didn't think they would last 90 minutes but they had to in the end and it was good to get them game time. Monty (Adam Montgomery) hadn't played in a while so we have options now so that is the most important thing.
