Tom Rogic and Nir Bitton

Let’s hope the replacements as Imatim has said are ready made players ready to go straight into Angeball 2.1.
And I think Tom Rogic’s replacement is already here in Matt O’Riley the cash freed up and Guaranteed CL money gets us hopefully CCV and Jota and Maeda with a few more
We roll on We never stop
Mon the Hoops

Aw the best to two long serving bit part players,
Bitton never got much of a chance to play in his preferred central midfield holding role, always seemed to be rolled out preseason European qualifying as a emergency centre half, never really fore-filled his potential in a hoops jersey
Rodgic in an enigma, world class on his day, took him a while to find his place here, but blossomed into a hunskelper, only problem was you could only count on him being available for 1/2 a season, made of glass, would take him 3-4 games to get back to his best after injuries then…. Bang out again
Personally I’d have kept him, I feel he has more to give us
Goodbye bhoys, you’ll be forever a Celt, as a wee bit of yir heart NEVER leaves paradise 💚

In any other country except this narrow minded one a certain club across the city (not Partick ) would move for them both because their better than any at Castle gray skull but that won't happen in anyone's lifetime .
Thanks for the memories and all the good times ,Once a bhoy always a bhoy .

I'm really disappointed these Bhoys are going. Tam's had his best season in years and Nir is a bloody capable utility player and stand in captain.
Do we know if it's their choice to leave or did we just not offer them a contract extension?

Seems they both chose to leave Hoopy..

I read someone commenting that Rogic hasn't seen his newborn baby, so I'm assuming it is for personal reasons. I'm gutted he is away as I hoped to get another couple of seasons out of him to get O'Riley fully up to speed (he has made a brilliant start but is still very young).

Thanks to both and good luck to them.

Two great players, who performed well in the Hoops
Tom Rogic, the Wizard of Oz, on his day he was unplayable, and he scored some great, and very important goals for us
Big Nir, loved his commitment to the club, and was a solid, reliable stand in at the back, when asked to play centre half
Loved this turn during a game
Both class acts and will go with our best wishes, no natter where they land
