Ye can't beat walking about with a fire eh? 🔥
Give thanks for being born in Scotland, in the era that we were
That's why shows like 'My name is Joe' and 'Sweet Sixteen' hit home for me
I remember home on holiday, it was a Friday and a couple of tracksuits and burberry baseball caps came in with message bags
I thought, "Oh they must have been shopping for their Mum"
They sit down next to a table of women, and set out the meat and stuff they'd just nicked from the local shops...the women were handing over cash for the goods...
I think it was a usual friday occurrence, cos I seen it a few times in the same pub
Another time, I was meeting my dad for a pint and as I took a seat while he was at the bar, a guy came in with a portable TV
plunks it on the table, and says "Want tae buy a telly ? It's a cracker, colour and everything...50 quid !!"
The barman comes over and grabs him by the scruff and him and his TV were huckled out
Some place the Inverclyde

I used to go in to certain pub at the bottom of hope st for a pint on the way home from work on a Friday. It was like a market stall with the shoplifters coming around the tables with their goods.
There was that many the barman only allowed one in at a time resulting in a queue of them outside the pub 😁
