PICTURE GALLERY Part Two

We got another 10 cm of snow the other night, it makes the place look lovely and clean, but it's treacherous when out walking

And Georgia, seems to quite like it

An absolute beauty of a shot lennono. Not surprised though; your work with a camera is superb. You already know of my interest in natural history, so keep them coming. They're a pure joy.

I had a trip north last night hoping to photograph Pine Marten.....These are Scotlands most difficult predator to see, as they hunt during the hours of darkness.....I waited a few hours but my patience paid off....I was ready to leave as it was -3 degrees and a was freezin......Anyway, I got about 50 shots of this beauty......

Fucking belter

Not sure if I have posted these before. The wife’s Dad served in Korea as a (very) young Marine. He had a breakdown in the 70s. As part of his therapy they said he should write it all down, then they found out he was great artist and said he should try drawing or painting his experiences. These are two of the many sketches he drew in the 70s. He is the greatest man I have ever met. What a guy.

They are fantastic Richy. I'm sure this was very therapeutic to him and helped him through his issues by expressing his feelings better.

Amazing shot, well done.

The Korea war was still fought by conscripts doing national service, greatest of respect for these young men
The national memorial for that war is in Bathgate 👍
War is legalised murder on a mass scale. Unless your homeland is being invaded there is no reason to kill another human being. The politicians spout about democracy yet send young men to their deaths without asking their voters if they want to enter a conflict.
I voted for Blair I'm ashamed to say, millions of people died because of him and Bush, I don't know how they sleep at night.

The difference being that was the last war, the Britain fought with conscripts, young men doing the national service, they didn’t have a choice, every war/conflict since has been fought with professional soldiers, they signed on the dotted line, and took the crown’s shilling to die for that arseholes that send them to “war”

Was away all weekend and got the scores last night
Another 3 points in the bag, albeit hard earned
Drove up North (Minus 10 and very sunny) roadside had snow, but the highways were clear, so it was a pleasure to drive on, and thought some of you might like to see the 'wildlife' that abounds in the countryside, although these guys were stuffed and mounted at the airport
Check our the size of the salmon, and the grizzly bear in the glass case
Actual fish caught, info there too
The claws on the grizzly are quite something, and you wouldn't stand a chance coming face to face with one, especially, if it's a mama bear with her cubs...they are very aggressive in an effort to protect their offspring
This bear in particular had been killing cattle for about 3 years, they figured it had killed at least 30, and the cattle weighed in around 1500 Lbs in some cases, the bear itself, weighed approximately 1100 Lbs
It charged the conservation officers who tracked it, and came with about twenty feet' before they shot and killed it
You can't outrun a bear, or outclimb it, no matter how fast you are, even if it's slipping in your shit, as you run
Just lie down and get it over with
Or 'pretend to be dead' because pretty soon, you will be
Stay safe
