Your honest opinion?

Would you have made the same changes today as Lennie?

No.

But my honest opinion?

a.) If we win (like we did), we're 10 up on Sevco. We draw and we stay level. We lose and we drop a point. The worst-case scenario here was that we drop a point, but that didn't happen. We're 10 up on the second place team.

b.) Dundee, which appears to be heading to relegation, is fighting for their lives. So it's no wonder they mugged the hell out of Celtic players for 97 minutes while the referee did absolutely nothing.

c.) Lenny and staff had the luxury of experimenting with the lineup against Dundee. It didn't work, like it didn't work in the previous game. They need to go back to the drawing board. Should he have a different lineup and substitute earlier? My sense is that he should. I also think that Weah and Burke should start, and while I hope they do, I'm leaving them to do the managing and trusting them to do the best with what we have.

a.) Too many rational people on this forum are having a world-class freak-out panic attack for no apparent reason. It was ugly to be sure, but we won the game. We. Won. The. Game.

I thought things started looking more positive when the Dubliner came off the bench, I think not getting an early goal was the problem, Dundee have only kept a clean sheet 3 times this season.
I can't imagine they would have played a more defensive system this season, they are fighting for survival which makes them as awkward a side to play against as any other in the league.
A helluva lot of huffin and puffin to get the win, but we got there in the end.
Lenny is sort of caught between a rock and a hard place, at the back of his mind he must fear making too many changes and risk dropping a shit load of points, I think we might see Lenny ruffle a few feathers now we have a 10 point gap.

Indeed we did win the game my Celtic minded friend....but did we make the right substitutions? I’m not so sure.

Agree 100 percent all we had to was win Dundee wanted a draw with a 11 man defence and a blind ref, they failed we won and that's what we need to do yes it was ugly but in the end it's 10 points clear a lot of disappointed rivals out there, onwards and upwards it's never over to it's over ask Dundee supporters how they felt when Eddy scored?? I only felt joy and relief HH

Starting with three wingers ( Forrest , Sinclair and Johnson ) was a gamble - but then the whole first half we did not not allow them to play on the wings- seemed odd . Against a packed defence we should be using the full width of the pitch - so , wide men on both flanks . Too often we chose to play through the middle .
Got what we deserved in the end - but we are crying out for an out and out centre forward - Eddy is not that man , that is not his game . We are not getting the best of him forcing him to play in an unaccustomed role .

Never seen much from Johnstone today but i would put this down to still needs to full out if he is to play against stout defending teams. Christie manages this due the loaned out spell he had, would maybeput wee MJ down to a championship or an Aberdeen/ Killie on loan give him the experience and time to build his body up.

That's a good point, Millsy.

Honestly terrible performance and the worrying thing for me is we have no pace in team too slow all the time toljan rotten again no heart Mikey never going to be good enough Forrest doesn’t do enough never man of the match and eddy never a 9 we have been saying it for ages fuck knows what they do in training don’t practice crosses or corners were terrible at them And I’ll tell you now lennys not the man ever we got lucky today and I do think half of them seem uninterested no more tired excuses. Johnny Hayes tried at least when he came on whole team today was wrong system and tactics big changes needed all over the team

late winner against Killie, even later against Hearts, blank against Aberdeen and injury time winner against second bottom Dundee. It's not scintillating stuff. I see concern not panic, too many players just going through the motions. Of course it's difficult when teams just park the bus.
