Main Stand Top Tier

With Celtic announcing that there is a 10000 (Ten Thousand) waiting list for season tickets surely this must be an opportunity to put a top tier on the main stand fully enclosing the stadium bringing a totally different look to Celtic Park a new match day visual and auditory experience

Instead of building a hotel why not increase the Stadium capacity thus increasing our Club's financial turnover and allowing more supporters to access matches

If the stadium became fully enclosed how about fitting a retractable roof?

A 70000 capacity stadium A sight to behold

The additional revenue this would create could be partly ploughed into the team and partly into building the new hotel complex as I'm sure many of the extra 10000 season ticket holders would patronise the hotel

While we remain the leaders both on and off the park let's forge further ahead and let's see how near the Glib and Shameless Liar's team can really get to us

I would like that, but most games stadium has massive gaps, so im no sure why there is waiting list especially since sevco get 5000+ less seats.

are the 10,000 real people? or are they ticket holders wanting better seats?

I think stadium needs better cover for bottom tiers from the icy wind and perpetual rain.

nice big dome or at least lower tier plastic shelters from torrential rain near the pitch.

Why not build the hotel and extend the stand. I know there are a lot of people don't agree with the hotel, but I for one can't wait. I live in Ireland and have travelled over many times by boat and plane. If you go by boat you're leaving at 5am, a lot of the time with small children. If you fly you're usually flying at about 7:30 am, arriving in Glasgow around 8:15 am or so. Then if the game doesn't start til 3, you're left wandering the streets with small children, which ive had to do several times. Infact we were put out of a shopping centre one time because my son was wearing a Celtic top.
Then the way home is another handling altogether. So I can't wait for the hotel to make a good weekend of it, with Celtic park on your doorstep.

Think the gaps are caused by Season Ticket holders picking and choosing which matches they attend but that doesn't"t help non Season Ticket holders who cannot get a ticket for a match

More than likely this will be the case . Is there not a re-sale option with the club , must be relatively simple to set up online , small commission to the club , and possibly a discount / money back to the original season ticket holder.

I m a bit sceptical on the waiting list too .
Would be interesting if this waiting list can be attached to current ticket holders , and within a specified time pre game , have them put up re-sale , should the season ticket holder be unable to use it .

In theory , the ground should be almost full at all home games . More resales bought , points accrued towards your position on the waiting list . This would prove a genuine list exists .

As we get into the business end of 9 in a row then 10...season tickets will be at a premium..they will be very difficult to get hold of...The problem with having a very large stadium is that fans may not need to buy a season ticket and can just choose when to pay for a ticket and the club looses out on upfront season ticket money, which is the lifeblood of a club....you only need to listen to King via Jabba trying to drum up some interest without sacking the manager then starting a new glorious chapter again.

I’m a ST holder and get to roughly 10 games a season, due to work/location. I don’t believe there is a system in place (not that I’m aware of) that allows me to give my seat up for resale if I’m not able to attend. I’d gladly leave it up to the club to resale my seat for games I’m not able to attend (leaving the club with the profit)

Big words getting banded about today the message for the squirrels today from Dave King was Inculcate

Hillsborough Lodge No. 25 F. & A.M.

Inculcation of the Noblest Virtues

One word that becomes very familiar to Masons is "Inculcate." It is brought to light by its mention in the first, or Entered Apprentice Degree. What does it mean? It means to learn by repetition. Masons participate in degrees, learn catechisms and listen to lectures many times over. Masons inculcate, and learn by saying things over and over again.¹ And what of these noble virtues? Namely, there are four cardinal virtues that every Mason attempts to perfect in his walk through life. They are the virtues of Fortitude, Prudence, Temperance, and Justice. These virtues are so essential and important to a Mason that they are described in great detail in the first Degree of Freemasonry.

All virtue or spiritual power requires the foundation of humility which is the desire to align oneself exactly with the truth through meekness (the self restraint of all vice but especial the seven cardinal vice, meekness is the opposite of wickedness, its gentle, its mild, its full of love/charity, confidence)

without the foundation of spiritual power you cannot grow in virtue.

Justice and masonry are incompatible
temperance requires meekness since meekness tempers vice
fortitude requires truth to maintain confidence to be courageous
Prudence requires humilty since its imprudent to be follow anything which is not full of truth

Its funny that christ puts forward the beatitudes (blessings which are the fruits of Holy Spirit when the trees of virtues are full grown.

from gospel of Matthew

Take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for I am meek and humble of heart, and ye shall find rest for your souls.

Masonry in my opinion is the cardinal vice in action the opposite of christ.

it is not the spirit of christ, it promotes worldly pride, its not the Holy Spirit, its the unholy spirit, it is the spirit of the anti christ, it is the spirit of worldly Zion the oath to Lucifer at 33rd degree is strong evidence that its not a virtuous organisation.

knowledge without understanding can be achieved through inculcation. a gong that rings by wrote.

knowledge requires understanding to become wisdom

And wisdom can only be achieved through grace

And only fallen nature without grace will tell you otherwise, which is masonic way, it is the voice of satan in your ear with promise that if you worship him as the supreme being he will offer you the world.

the third temptation of christ in the desert by devil

You want to really learn about humility, read the doctors of the church, who are the greatest teaching saints given through grace.

When a glib and shameless liar condemned by worldly justice starts telling you he is virtuous, and you listen, then you can only be a sevco man

TET,
Many good points there, but, you tying freemasonry (Member English Rite) what is written and how it can be intetpertated is good but flawed in my eyes.
Living and working since 49 yrs old in Asia, I still believe in the Holy Church of Rome all the way back to Jesus. But, a big but, the 5 tenets of Buddhism is worth reading and for why is a good reason to ponder.
I love this site, further proof a catholuc education does things, I were an OLHS guy when it were all boys. Discipline strict and fair, Seen the passing of Rector Scally, to see asst head Mr White (English) at morning assembly and his message has never left me.
