Easy way to turn their fans against Gerrard. We tried to do good business and sell Alfredo so we could have a solid footing to win the league. Unfortunately, Gerrard had the right to say no to an offer and he said no to some very lucrative ones.
Makes him look bad to the ones who see how...
I'm stunned at the latest business from ibrox. I always took them for the worst kind of corporate clowns and then they turn around and get sponsored by a tire company. Tomket Tire on their sleeves and money in their pockets. Imagine the wear and tear of the team bus tires as the starting squad...
Sevvie G thought he would go up to Scotland and win everything in sight because he was from the mighty engerlund league. Glad to see him disabused of the notion. Look at young Tierney already stamping Scottish attitude into the ballet there.
Has anyone on the Sevco board seen the Mark Wahlberg movie Invincible? The Philadelphia Eagles (whose fans could teach the gers lessons on being horrible) hold open try outs and pull in a local boy whose life was on the skids to be their quarterback. Surely, they could have a rotating striker...
€6 mil up front and another one if he plays well according to Phil. They can't survive on installment payments. Better to get six up front than 10 over a year or so.
That could only benefit the club. I like that idea. It wouldn't be bad for the reserve squad to do some community service. Young guys making more money than they know what to do with and under public stress could get something out of working with youngsters.
With a hotel, casino, fan zone etc... What would be your ideal addition to the stadium complex? I'm assuming 25,000 more seats and as many parking spots but what's the crazy ideal?
