Latest on the Cho bid:
Celtic, Mainz & Minnesota have all bid for the player.
Mainz bid is lower than Celtics & is unlikely to move (However, not rejected)
Cho wants European football so Minnesota seems unlikely.
Celtics offer seemingly 2.7m with a sell on clause of 50% up to the value of £5.3m...
I’ve no idea mate but dare say you won’t hear the outcome of Wolves demands either - it’s not how it all works.
Something needs to change, obviously, I just don’t think we will hear much until it gets to the point change is being made.
He is officially in a different role though - I'd reckon that Michael Nicholson would have something to say with interference. I understand folks worries but I just don't see it.
Even with Cho we are still submitting bids in the same financial ballpark as we were without PL.
Celtic have already had one meeting with the SFA around VAR and were set for another meeting with them after the Derby game.
I don't think we can really say it's been silent.
I know he gets a lot of (deserved) flak but I think that a lot of fans are jumping the gun with him coming back / current transfer dealings.
Ange has always been transparent in that he holds no sentiment with players or need to keep them happy - They come and go if they want to stay. I am not...
Not going to pretend I know anything about him but what I’ve read seems to agree with you - problem is, I think Rosenborg openly said they don’t want to sell so any deal would likely be much higher than the quoted 3m for Cho currently
No movement on an actual transfer and would be a harder deal to go but comments from Rosenberg striker Casper Tengstedt
"Celtic is a fine club. But I don’t want to say more. Of course, I have read all the speculation. And I have to say it is exciting getting."
What a career he’s had, even if there has been a bit of controversy at times while in Madrid.
3x La Liga
1x Copa Del Rey
1x Supercopa
5x Champions League
3x UEFA Super Cup
3x Fifa Club World Cup
1x MLS Cup
1x Supporters Shield
Who can forget this Champions League final goal though…
From a Celtic point of view, keeping Welsh is good. Reliable player but with what we tend to sign/current squad he is not going to get a sustainable run.
For Welsh it would make sense to move - he is 22 now and has to really start knocking on the door of someone’s first team - he certainly has...
I’ve not got any worries about the Cho transfer.
We had made a good bid, whatever happens after that happens. Ange will have back up targets if not - look at before O’Riley came, we were all set to sign someone else before they chose a different club.
