    Off-topic: Ask a Basque

I was back in Scotland for the Salzburg game. Me and my mate helped a Basque gentleman find his way from the university to Kelvingrove museum while heading to Finnieston for refreshments. Had a lengthy talk about Athletici Bilbao and football in general. Wasn’t you was it?

    Resolution 12 Merged Threads

The Celtic AGM is coming up shortly. This is where Celtic have the chance to take real action to bring the Res 12 matters to a head. It simply must happen. New evidence is damning and allowing the SFA judicial process to run haven’t worked. The club must act for itself and for all of us this time

    Statement o'clock at Sevco

Not a bad synopsis of the statement for the punters

shove yer poppy up yer a**e? Not for me!

Its clearly a highly emotive and divisive issue not just within football but within a support. To me its a personal choice and noone elses business. I won't have anyone dictate what I can or can't do and that's a better way to remember what people fought for than any symbolism.

Another embarassing blunder at the SFA!

    Saw that Joe. Well done.

Another embarassing blunder at the SFA!

True - though fanswithoutscarves.org is a non-individual club run campaign for SFA reform. It's got about 4000 signed up fans of all clubs through the petition and counting. There are Rangers fans already supporting it - though not so many proportionately as Celtic, Dons, Dundee Utd and Kille...

Another embarassing blunder at the SFA!

Joe at VideoCelts is crediting that as a Daily Record story too. That’s not right at all

Another embarassing blunder at the SFA!

Aye. Fanswithoutscarves.org called them out on it. Then the DR just nicked the story with no credit.

Another embarassing blunder at the SFA!

Fraser Wilson of the Daily Record now running this story with no credit to the source or mention of Pete Haynes good work. Appalling journalism. Help out a good blogger and let the Record know it’s not on please...

Another embarassing blunder at the SFA!

The direction of travel on all that will see more power vested with the fans. Roger Mitchell's views on a Barca style member scheme within the SFA are something a bit from leftfield but well worth a read. Same source as the above...

Milne, Hampden, Atlantic League, Mitchell to replace Farry - fascinating

Stuart Cosgrove wrote an article in The National the other day saying he thinks the Record still has value. A worthwhile read whether you believe it or not.

Mr EBT typical of shameless SFA

Ultimately moving towards a sort of Barça style members model even if it's not a majority stake in the medium terms

Mr EBT typical of shameless SFA

Oh stop! [keep going! ]. Would love to see all the small shareholders combine their holdings into a supporters trust. The trust can give them a certificate to replace the share cert on the wall. Then can collect money a bit like The Rangers do by monthly subscription to buy shares when...

Absolutely not. Unless rules are changed that make them like they have in Germany. To be fair even combining all those individual shareholdings into a communal trust would give more clout

Mr EBT typical of shameless SFA

Isn't it obvious? If it suits the major shareholders to act in fans interests then they will. If it doesn't they won't. Complaining unlikely to make a difference to a business decision. The way to change that is to control more of the shares and have a stronger voice.
