If ever a manager should be using his squad to keep things fresh it was today, these players had a tough 90 minutes on Thursday so why would the manager not freshen up the team so come on NL use your loaf you should have given young Dembele and Okoflek their chance today they both have the talent and trickery to open up a dour Livingston

Totally agree about bringing in fringe players. Several times over the last couple of seasons we've seen Broony struggle playing twice a week, week after week. Not that I want to single him out as every player was shite today. Having said that, because he has an international break coming up then I hoped he had one more 90 minutes in him before getting a mini rest.

Not sure if I'd want to subject too many of our youngsters to the physicality delights of Livi, but they are probably more used to playing on plastic pitches as quite a few development matches are played on them! But today was always going to be a fight rather than a game of skill made worse by an incapable ref (but no dispute about Christie's red, but Livi's was also a red).

I have heard a few moans about Broonie today and rightly so,, along with in my opinion at least another 5-6 Bhoy,s,but while the anger is still bubbling remember the good times This great Celt has given us and I am sure it will help us all get over today..this Bhoy is one of the greatest Celtic captains of all time so let us show him the respect he deserves..
This is definitely a bad day one we need to get out our systems asap..
These Bhoys have been magnificent most of the season so now is not the time to be slating them it is the time to put our faith in them and let them lead us on to the promised land where 9 and 10 await us..

You are talking mince. Dembele & Okoflex to play against a team who barge into players. They couldn't beat lower league team in the caramel wafer cup. So we just drop 16 million pound player and player of the year and play two 16 year olds.
mince you say, ours and many other clubs would send out fringe players in the past to join clubs in the junior leagues this was done to help toughen them up and give them experience so don't tell me we can't or shouldn't throw these players into games like this.Ifor one am sure they would thrive given the chance

Agree re rotation of the squad but it may be too soon for Oko=Flex or Dembele yet. However Brown should not be being asked to play 2 games so often and Ntcham would have been better from the start, we also bought Taylor who is used to the plastic at Kili and should have used his experience rather than Boli who is not used to plastic neither is Jullien but dont think there is a ready replacement for him maybe Bitton but is he fit? McGregor seldom looks up for the fight in phsycal games or JF so surely it would have been an ideal opportunity for a hungry squad player to step in. Asking the same players to start week after week will see them run out of steam, thankfully we have the international break but the players taking part in their national teams need to be rested after it so use the fucking squad Lenny.

We do send fringe players out to lower league & spl teams at the moment. Our top 11 couldn't beat Livi yesterday, but your argument is that two16yr olds would have? Nonsense. There was no need for winger's yesterday tight park 442 would have been better suited with the two fullbacks as the width.

'Twas a bad day on a shocking pitch against hammer throwers coupled with a poor referee and a tired looking team. Onwards and upwards. We will still win the league cup, the league and the Scottish cup.
We have to write yesterday aff, good teams have bad games too.
Livi went for anti-football, punt it long and high and constantly foul to break up play.
A minor setback, 10 in a row here we come

It might be a blessing in disguise, maybe a bit of complacency crept in, now we know we're in a fight and need to be up for every game and when it comes to playing shit teams playing anti-football on a horrible pitch forget the silky football and just roll the sleeves up and out battle them.

I remember a good few years ago we played Killi under similar circumstances, we were 3-0 down at halftime but for a brilliant 2nd half display from the team and Anthony Stokes in particular we would have been thrashed, 3-3 it finished. Yesterday there was no such response. I'm sorry I know I shouldn't keep going over it, its done, we move on. Just don't let it happen again.

It will happen again every team this year will give their all to stop 9iar,they will play the same way because it works ,we don't go toe to toe with these carthorses because 9 times out of ten the Refs give the decisions to the carthorses ,we get no protection at all
Big julien was easy to wind up yesterday and he lost his composure and started to make daft mistakes and every other fkwit out there will do the same to him because it works
Taylor should have been on from the start he's played plastic for years yet he's nowhere in our plans for a game on fkn plastic

Lenny being the stubborn cnt he is at times sat and watched what was happening and his only answer to our game plan was Hayes and Bayo ,hit n hope with the bench we had we sent on Hayes and Bayo

I know, in a game where we needed to score why not bring on 17 goals last year Scott Sinclair? And I agree, he is a stubborn cnt at times.

From the sublime to the ridiculous. How can we go from DOMINATING a European game to looking like rank amateurs in a few days ????
I'm lost for words. Nobody wanted to play football, or so it seemed, on Sunday.
Why can't we play two up front ? Eddy looked like he could have used the help.

I am not so sure mate that we did not want to play football, more like we were not allowed to play football.
From the whistle we were bullied in every department,we did not come up against a football team yesterday,, we came up against 11 warriors without a bit of skill between them but they had the hearts of lions which on the day was something we were missing..
Would we have lost if Ryan had not been sent of,,probably not,,would we have won,,probably not..
Why did Lenny throw James Forest into a game like this,,he should have been sitting in the stand,,this Bhoy is not up for games where tackles are flying in..
We have 2 centre backs who came of that park the same way they went on with their hair styles intact..not ONE tackle between that had the boy Dykes say to himself,,,fic this these Bhoy,s are scary when they tackle..he had a grin on his face most of the day,,he definitely would not have been grinning if Bobo had been on that park yesterday,,seriously need somebody like Bobo to put the fear of death into people like Dykes,,Marshmales etc.
Kris Ajer for me has a bit too much to say at times,he should shut his mouth until he has learned his trade,, then there will be plenty of time for him to talk..Broonie needs to remind him who does the talking,,senseless booking because of his mouth..
I think if we have another 2 weeks like the last 2 we start again next year for 9 IAR..
In fairness to Lenny and everybody involved in yesterdays fiasco Livingstone were probably the last team we would like to have faced but on the other hand he should have known what they were going to throw at us from the first whistle,Then again if this is naivety on Lenny,s part he needs to have a long hard look at himself...
Only one way we can go now,,the other way is not an option..
HH.

Its hard playin football on the plastic ,fs the ball doesny even bounce naturally.Just a bad day at the office.

I play on it most weeks mate so know how shite it is.Ok for 10 over weight guys running about a fives park☺ but has no place in professional football.
I thought scottish football brought in a law years ago, maybe 15 or 20 years ago saying clubs with plastic pitches couldn't get promoted to the Premier league. Does anyone remember that? What changed? Am I just making this up? 😟

Don't think it was plastic pitches. If you didn't have a 10k stadium. Remember the jags didn't get up & the sheep didn't get relegated one year. Think the park is being used as an excuse for yesterday's defeat. There are at least 3/4 plastic pitches at Lennoxtown the player's would have trained on all week. It's not the norm to go through a whole season undefeated. Just a bad day. Put it behind us and move on to the Staggies on the 19th.
