Celtic v Ross County - Saturday 25 January kick-off 3pm - all comments here

Good article pretty much sums up what most of us will be thinking imho.

Hopefully on Wednesday we revert to 2 up with Eddie playing off PP, but I have my doubts. In all honesty I'm more concerned about our defence at the moment. 3 at the back might just plug that big grand canyon of a whole that appeared through the centre of defense yesterday.

Think you are right it's either we go to 3 at the back or we accept Lenny doesn't rate any of our left backs and we get another one in now. Hayes and Boli could play wing back though so 3 at the back might just work out with what we have.
Don't understand why we don't just give Taylor a run of games if we do play a flat back 4? Lenny doesn't quite trust him it appears

Poor in the first half, better in the second once Eddy came on. Defence looked very open and they were getting through too often, probably unsurprising given that we were without 3 of the usual 4.
McGregor MOTM with Brown, Julien, Forster and Johnston of the starters playing well. Forrest and Ntcham were poor in the first half but a lot better in the second.
The negatives. Hayes was awful. Passed to County players more than teammates and on several occasions gave the ball away in areas that allowed them in on goal. We have a Scottish international left back on the bench who is head and shoulders better than Hayes at left back. Why?
Bauer, good defensively but not great in possession, Jozo playing on the left side is an accident waiting to happen. Griffiths as lone striker just doesn’t work anymore. His movement, anticipation and decision making were poor. Hit a few decent crosses from dead balls though.
We are so dependant on Edouard it is frightening. He gets injured, we are fecked.
The manager wanted 3 experienced players in this window, 6 days to go he has 0.
I must have been watching a different game Gary :D

Hayes has been getting a bit of stick again, but he's more effective in the wingback rather than as part of a back four. KT used to be able to combine both the attacking and defending duties as part of a back four and that's why a) Scotty Sinclair dropped out the team initially as KT could handle it himself and b) why we sold him for £25m.

As a solid, reliable professional pound for pound Jonny Hayes is outstanding. He's no KT but who is? Yesterday Celtic's coaches under-estimated Ross County's offensive threat and were lucky to avoid being punished.

Agree with that assessment plus I thought we ( management and team ) were a bit complacent/lackadaisical yesterday
