KT no happy

Yeah, it's not great is it?

There are certain players who carefully orchestrate their career paths and potential moves, then there are other players who are told in no uncertain terms that the club needs the money and they're getting punted.

It's still not absolutely clear what KT's position was in that transfer deal?

You have to give the lad the benefit of the doubt until it is eventually made public; however- it's quite unlike the Scottish media to ever do a bit of shit-stirring???

If the amateur Banksy was spotted doing it he would of had his head kicked in.
In the same breath if KT is ever asked of any backlash regarding his move then obviously this story would surface.
Blatant shit stirring as SP pointed out above.

The real belter is that rangers won't accept 10m for Kent 😵

Something has to be offered before something is accepted

Hillarious

having watched his open goal chat with Simon ferry

I think he explained his position quite clear.

IMO there seems to be a disconnect in reality among all football fans driven by emotional expectations

For a young man to be treated like Judas for giving his heart and soul in every game to the point of extreme physical discomfort only to be called a money grabber when he offered a chance to test himself at a level and wage that far exceeds Celtics current economic environment.

Im certain Tierney would have stayed had celtic been in a position to give him a wage his talent and devotion probably deserved for his level of consistency in the economic climate of football generally through sky subsidy at sky sponsored leagues.

Celtic got offered a price they could not refuse.

Tierney got a wage offer and opportunity he would have been mad to reject despite his love of Celtic.

The mismatch of economic power and club size is killing the game.

But the emotional rancour among even celtic fans has nothing to do with loyalty and more in line with unsustainable want driven by emotions rather than prudence.

Deeply saddens me to think a truly humble high quality celtic player who gave his heart to club would ever be called a judas by anyone associated with Celtic.

one of the hardest working talents celtic ever produced feels worried to visit his hometown?

the serious disconnect between economic reality and expectations is a serious sickness that is killing the love of the beautiful game.

I doubt Tierney would have left if sky subsidy hadn't destabilised Scottish football

Aye TET, but I also feel that KT knows his way around diplomacy and that he wouldn't be in the habit of belittling an institution which he clearly loves.

Personally, I think having lost a good chunk of the previous season and pretty much playing with a sign on his back saying "kick me hard, but elbow me harder", the laddie probably understood the fragile nature of being a professional footballer and made a decision which would safeguard his family's financial future.

I doubt Celtic were paying peanuts, but they could never compete with 75 k/p/w and the windfall he would receive for image rights and other endorsements by that way.

There are a few lads worthy of the "Judas" tag (one immediately springs to mind), but KT ain't that lad and he deserves credit for not badmouthing the club.

Watched the KT open goal, thought it was excellent , from a young man who clearly loves the team , who put his body out there for the team even when badly injured every week and it’s a disgrace that he feels SCARED, to come back and support the team he adores.
KT is not a Judas , he is a pro footballer who was given an opportunity to better his and his family’s life
Who amongst us would not do the same?
Shame on the scum who have made him feel that way
You will always be welcomed back at paradise

A non story jumped on by the press

The records slant on it has all the hallmarks of hun whataboutery would expect nothingless from a shower of bitter ba****ds .

The lads doin well for himself and i don't have a problem with that he's done himself the club and his family proud and moving on was inevitable as others have pointed out he was a target an unprotected target

Scotland embraces failure and mocks success unless you wear blue , the club got £25m real cash not made up chinese stuff and he has carried on being a winner in the epl and getting rave reviews , not drifting into mediocrity for a guy who has been at the club from 7yr old he and his family sacrificed a lot
and i wish him well

As for the twat with the rattle can ,maybe he should show his face at the bullfrog ,,,,go on yer hard man in the headlines ,,,,,i'm sure the muirhouse lhads would teach the snowflake a lesson or two

I find it heard to believe a good Feinian would do that to KT. A lot of us were disappointed that he left but wished him well.
Would not put it past the sevvie media to pay a local ned or sevvie to spray that. KT is scared to come home? Is he fuck, KT is scared o fuck all.

Richie he had lots of haters , threats etc from supposed Celtic fans , in fact a few on here as I recall
That's the thing though, Torrancetim.........I think we've all been exposed to the infiltration and I've no doubt there were a couple of bhuns getting in on that act too.

I guess that there was some over-reaction due to disappointment and a bit of frustration, but I'd like to believe that the vast majority of decent-minded folk understood KT's reasoning for making that change. I think we also have to accept that we have a tiny minority who support us that have the IQ of a 4-by-2 block

Whilst Tierney was been interviewed with Snide the BBC had on their show Scott Allen finishing off @ 7 pm so you could listen to both negative takes and with him running down Deilla and fat diets and praising Rodgers, you could not make it up, this title will taste even sweeter this time round,
Bottom line KT you choose your career no point moaning about fans who might not have a brain cell, you must have seen it coming and good luck from the decent fans but do me a favour son you earn more in a week than a real working grafting man earns in 2 years, Scott Allen you should stick to improving your game for us when on you were fucking mince son thats why you been have passed around the clubs.
Maybe time to appreciate the Browns, McGregors and Forrests true Celtic men even big Rogic seven years he has given us.

There is that, Boab. It is certainly not an entitlement, but a privilege to wear The Hoops.

There are a few million lads and lasses that would give their right or left arm for that opportunity and anyone who has been afforded that privilege should make the very most of it.

There are a few lads over the years who thought the grass was greener on the other side, but I'd lay good odds that they lived to regret leaving Celtic when they did.

Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell has said that the club had no choice in selling left-back Kieran Tierney in the summer after his head was turned by Arsenal.

The Hoops sold the defender for £25m back in August, with many fans believing that the Scottish international had been sold on the cheap. When asked about the transfer at today’s AGM, Lawwell claimed the club had to get as much money as they could after the player made it known he wanted to leave:

No way would club come out and say that if Tierney didnt want to go..He pushed the for move or he would still be here..I honestly believed all the stuff he had said but leaving when we were going for 9 with 10 on horizon got me to look at it again..End of the day , we made him famous and rich and he got club a few quid but spare me all the other bs he used to spout..He got the privilege of playing for us and not other way round ..Goodluck to him but ive never been an Arsenal fan so i have absolutely no interest in how he does now as hes not our player anymore
