My concern

My biggest concern over appointing Eddie Howe as our next manager is that he will turn and run for EPL at the first opporchancity. The better he does with us the quicker he will be straight down the M6.
As for Favre, don't know a thing about him. Another concern.

Thats modern football, the better you get the bigger the offers that you attract from elsewere, but if we stick with Celtic men only sometimes it turns stale, seems rotation whilst money dictates is the new norm.

For Eddie Howe to really cut it as a top manager then he has to make a name for himself on the European circuit.
This will take 2 seasons minimum to achieve with having to build a new team first.
Still couldn't see him in the running for a top team in the EPL just yet, but of course success with us would no doubt have them banging the door down for him.
It's the state of the club that is more of a concern for me and just reclaiming our title back would do for me and building a side capable of being able to hold their own in Europe the following season would do for me, and anything else would be a bonus.
Could we under Howe make the CL group stages? A big ask but not impossible imo

What did we know about Dr Joe?

Looks like the summer has been set as his start date anyway (whoever he goes to). Trying not to read too much into anything in the press about stuttering on a deal. Could be as much us as him.
If talks aren't at the right place behind the scenes then we move on.
I wouldn't put it past the board to try and shoehorn Kennedy into any new mgmt plan. I also wouldn't put it past us to opt to keep casualties of any new appointment ticking over till the summer just to delay/reduce any compo costs.

Two years in charge might be all we offer in an initial contract to anyone anyway?

Well we win the league next season and its CL football for him so surely he d rather that to fighting for relegation every year?but is it about winning things or the cash to him?

I reckon we could hold our own in Europe if set up properly under a manager who knows what hes doing. The thing that angers me John is out the last 5/6 years we should have qualified at least 3 times,Cluj ,Athens and Ferencvárosi...a club our size should be beating teams like that and i think our lazy recruitment is to blame for that,100 odd million we missed out on there.

Can I just put out there that with every interview and game John Kennedy is coming across and out of with more and more respect IMO. I know and thought myself that he was Peters secret son and if he wasn’t being a coach Peter would find him another job like the Janny or answering phones. I thought that the team would fold (even more than they have this year) and just go through the motions but up til now I’m not seeing that.
The team look very structured and fairly well organised and everyone seems to know what their jobs on the park are. I’m not saying for a minute John should get the job but I feel he’s had so much abuse for a while now that a bit of respect is due for the job he’s is doing under the circumstances.
Maybe going away and learning his trade fully with someone else being the main man would be the best thing for him and his career but again IMO staying with the right manager as a coach certainly wouldn’t be a bad thing.
