Deeply worrying video of NFL doing the rounds on SM

The issue isn't the drink.....it's why....and we all know that he suffers bigstyle from depression...that's fact......How many times did we say about his interviews after the games...what he was saying....how he looked....A good few of us said that he didn't look in good health....Yes, it's up to him to get help........Neil.....You Will Never Walk Alone....And I hope you get well soon....maybe away from management may help...it may not....I don't know...none of us probably know apart from him and professional help ..... My own opinion and I said it at the start of the season.....was that if he wins the 10....He will be a happy man....because he did it for Celtic......If he lost the 10...It would break him....I hope I am wrong...🍀

Depression and alcoholism go hand in hand...a wee sidenote...the msm would normally be all over this but they are not...what does this tell folk?

I think out of respect to NFL I believe this thread should be pulled now as it is very disrespectful of us talking about the man's issues when none of us really know what they are.
No problem with anyone wanting to state there own issues but this forum shouldn't be the place to air them imo

I agree, it should be pulled...if admin can pull threads about a racist elitist then surely they can shield one of our own?

I just got home from my 1st trip to a pub since November. Couple of beers in the beer garden. Sun shinning. Unfortunately I've got work tomorrow or I'd be as drunk as lennon right now.
Regarding lennon. My conscience is clear. He should have been sacked month before he was. He did a piss poor job of managing us this year. His coaching staff and he, along with the players have let the fans down. But I'm fully behind him as he battles his demons, which have been with him since his playing days. In his autobiography he speaks of not being able to get up off the hotel room floor before a European match. His problems should not be levelled at anyone on the noises door.

I will take your word for it Docco, and thank you for sharing that information.
This puts a totally different perspective on this whole shitshow of a season as lenny should never have een left in the position he was and hope the club will do right by lenny and seek the help he will urgently need as they are guilty of hanging him out to dry also as he was never in a position to really handle the job in hand.
All I can say is lenny is facing the biggest decision of his life and I just pray he makes the right decision and surrenders to the mental torture this illness brings as there is support and no shame whatsoever attached to this illness.
Remember, this might have been just a blowout like many of us have had. Doesn't necessarily mean he has a problem.

intelligent words as usual bird guy :)

i've always said to my mates on both sides, imagine walking in lennys shoes for a day
constantly looking over your shoulder for the next shite coming your way.

at least for a long time it was only 1 of 2 in glasgow, but for a period there has been no respite.

In my mind a celtic legend, never mind the trophies and medals, he was the most victimised among us this country has ever seen and likely ever will see.
If people thought they had suffered discrimination or a hard time over the years getting jobs etc. well fuck me the full force of the dark arts were unleashed on him.

A man we needed to stand behind when he needed us.
Not saying that we had to be happy with him as our manager or didnt want to see him depart, but we should have protected him as one of our own.

I'm hoping it was just a piss up, if not we're speculating on the nature of the problems.
Every human has this version of escapism in them whatever the self help they prescribe themselves.
In erm cloudy philisophical moments i've always mused that the human struggle appears to centre around learning to live with yourself/be happy with yourself etc.
What we see and how were made make us question every single thing about ourselves. I wish i was... etc.

Whatever it is/whatever it's not, he is made like the rest of us, has his individual strengths and weaknesses. He just has to get back to being the Neil Lennon that works for him and his family. Hopefully he gets the space to be that guy and gets back to being that guy.

His day will come !

I agree Steviebhoy67, but when it has been stated as a fact then the man like anyone else who suffers with such a problem needs help not to be ridiculed now.
I can say from experience it's the most lonely and soul destroying existence going.
The 10 has gone and no point sitting and playing the blame game any longer as that's not going to change anything that has gone on this season.
I did have my suspicions that there was serious issues with Lenny earlier on in the season with his erratic behaviour but as it was confirmed earlier on today on here, then now my attention switches to lenny and his well being.
As supporters I would expect us to give him our full support in his battle and he gets the help he will desperately need in been able to conquer them demon's

NEIL LENNON is at the centre of a police probe over claims he was involved in an alleged cross-border Covid-breach.

Cops are investigating after a video clip emerged online that appeared to show the former Celtic boss at a hotel in England - a day after outdoor boozers opened down south.

Lennon, 49, who lives in Glasgow, was filmed with pal Duncan Smillie, 50, owner of Glasgow Rocks basketball team and a board member of Partick Thistle.

The mobile phone footage is understood to have been filmed at the Halston Hotel in Carlisle, Cumbria, on Tuesday night.

A spokesman for Cumbria Police said: “The matter is being investigated to ascertain whether any breach of Coronavirus regulations has taken place.

FFS that is the last thing he needs right now :(
