Was it such a great idea now for many of us glad to see the back of Christie including myself especially upon last seasons form.
Think the way Ange likes to play he stands to be a huge loss imo, makes me think that you need to be careful about what you wish for.
Opinions please

Christie shows he can be a player.....sometimes tries too hard.....But, when he goes missing....he goes missing....I think Ange would have got the best out of him if he stayed.....But he was for moving...He done the opposite of Eddy in the shop window.......So...for me it was bad business.....but on a personal level...he had to go....he wasn't wanting to be here....If he did stay, I think he would have contributed to the team.....his mind was elsewhere.......

Ange on Christie staying at Celtic: “I don’t think I need to twist his arm, if this doesn’t convince him I don’t think anything can”

In his post match interview the Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou was clear that he wants Ryan Christie to stay at the club but reckons that whether that’s going to happen or not is down to what the player, whose contract expires in January 2022, wants.

I was never on the anti-Christie bandwagon John. I do believe the time was right for him to go though. With the totally weird contract situation we would've lost him for zilch. The boy wanted to take the next step in his career and I wish him well
Just my opinion John, but for me he was played out opposition more than is healthy.

Was setting up so many chances this season and was looking like the player we knew he could be kelly.
Still got no one who could fill his boots at present in what he can offer the team imo
He upped his game this season to get his move and it worked. Had he stayed I've no doubt he would've went back to the same dire shite as last year. Plus we would've been out a fortune on lost balls.
Good riddance to him!

Spot on Brimcbhoy. We'll never find out which of our "wantaways" might have stayed if we had paid them the going rate for a quality player before their heads got turned. I genuinely believe we'd still have Tierney, Boyata and Christie for starters. Possibly another season or two out of Dembele. If you were to add that the players Rodgers and Lennon actually wanted and were prepared to sign (McGinn and Toney for a start), maybe we'd be still be a football club and not the omnishambles we've become.

As a big part of last seasons regular non trying squad, yes he should have been sold,so good business.

The problem is we don't have a middle man with his energy atm,so bad business.

Selling ready made players and replacing them with up and coming ones wont always work or at best take time to work, but with Neil in charge we lost 2 seasons of trying to blood our own youths and now the chickens are coming home to roost particularly in the middle and up front.

Wee Tierney too good for Scottish football and looks a much better defender since leaving the club

I agree with the points being made about just getting shot of him (and his da!😁) after last years shenanigans but everything was wrong with the club last year from the boardroom right down to the youth team.
Going by his form this year he would have been superb for us he was the energy that wasn’t there yesterday. If he had signed an extension and stayed for even this season I believe he would have had a better choice of club to move to. The way he started this year he is as big a miss as kyogo and McGregor being out. And while on the subject I don’t think Rogic and Turnbull is working IMO it’s one or the other when we have everybody fit
