As most of you know I lost my wife recently. I would always say to her that no many plans you make, there will usually come a train along and hit you from the side. It's just so true. We plan many things.
My word on this is do things now!
Tomorrow might never come
Maybe a bit dark for many but think about it.

I hope you are doing OK pal. It will be very tough for you but there are a lot of friends on here who care deeply about you. You are absolutely correct - live life and enjoy it. Spend quality time with your friends, family and loved ones and make great memories. 💚

A brave and wonderful man once told me to live each day as if it was my last. It was my big bro the last time I saw him before he passed away.

Life can be cruel Stevie and loss and grief can be overwhelming. Not only are you without your partner, you're without the future you were both meant to have together.

People say that time is a great healer but you never heal and instead you get used to living with a certain degree of pain. I still have 2 brother shaped holes in my heart.

It's still early days for you and I hope you have plenty of support from your friends and family, but as Bridie said, you have Noisy friends too.

Very true Stevie those that say seize the day and all that are right,we spend so much time piss farting around and making plans for tomorrow, we are all just passing through and you never know when your life will be turned upside down

Had to learn myself the hard way StevieBhoy, it's OK to make plans but you can't plan the outcome as you can never tell if that train comes along and hits you like you have sadly had to experience recently.
Even though myself, I can look back with many regrets upon the things that never happened, the best way I found of dealing with the lifebreaks thrown upon us at times is to cherish what were the good times.
If you get the chance to make happy memories, make them as there's no price to ever buy them.
Look after yourself StevieBhoy and we are all here for you if needed

Not dark in the least Stevie. Some of you may know I come from a family of seven brothers and seven sisters. I wouldn't change a second of growing up in what was a secure, loving environment . However, the downside is, of course, time will always do what time does. I've lost four brothers and two sisters. I know your grief will still be very raw Stevie, I know your heart will be breaking. I can only say on a personal level, time has at least allowed me to cope. What never changes is the love I feel for all of them. They were, and still are, a part of me. I've no doubt you will always feel that way too Stevie.

Not much i can add that others haven't said before me i do hope you find comfort and support from those around you and a low points think of the memory's you shared

Honestly thought the title was Trans for a minute there, terrifying thoughts ran through my head, like meeting Stevie on a job, he's there carrying his tool bag wearing a dress, white stilettos and some bright red lippy....

On a more serious note, some lovely messages here and obviously heart felt, quite the community when one of our own needs a bit of support.

Just seen this thread Stevie, hope your ok pal, what you say is very true, yep life is not a rehearsal, I used to prevaricate a lot, now I just can't be arsed. 😁
