What's Really Going On?

My mate just told about me about an article in the Express saying Kennedy going too and that Celtic have been offered 5m. Dont know if thats true or not though.
Harry Kane wants to leave Spurs. Daniel Levy say no. Be interesting to see how this works oot given Anges policy of beat it if you want to leave.
I am really disappointed....with my self !! for falling for it again.
We are the world renowned Glasgow Celtic. We are so much more than one man.
We are the ones who never stop, Ange was fleeting, We are for life.

Theren is no old firm, the term is merley a marketing ploy and a figment of our boards and the huns state of mind. Celtic fans know what liquidation means and we witnessed the death of the huns and the end of the old firm tag, the tag is simply a company house registered name.

It is also the main selling point to Sky and any other sponsor who wants to give some scraps to the Scottish game...there is something very wrong when we sign an agreement with Sky for 4 old firm matches a season...how can that be a guarantee in our league set up with the split?
No one cares what the Celtic fans think...not Sky...not the media...not the SPFL and especially not our board.
The old firm brand is alive and kicking....with DD and Lawwell at the wheel.

Very disappointed in the manner of Ange's leaving . Thought he was a bit different from the usual badge kissers .
Had he come clean weeks ago and admitted that he had ambitions beyond Scotland ( who could blame him ? ) and that he was likely to be tempted by a ''big'' club in the EPL then many would have accepted this and wished him ''all the best '' and thanked him for a remarkable two seasons of success .
Players and fans had invested a lot of love and faith in this man and genuinely believed that he was the real deal and thought that he would be up front and honest when it came to moving on .
No one expected him to stay forever , particularly with the success he generated at the club . We all knew that the bloated EPL would eventually come calling .

I personally believed that he would be frank with the support about leaving .
I did not expect the prevarication and evasion that was the hallmark of his pressers in the last couple of weeks .
It was clear from this performance that he was going . I would have totally understood if he had simply come out and said so . That would have shown that he respected the fans as much as we respected him .
Very sad !

If he has the same start at Spurs, like at Celtic....he'll be sacked.
Spurs will then get slated for hiring an unknown manager from the farmers league of Scotland. Then Anges dream of managing a top English club will die....because no one else in the top 6 will go near him. Part of me wants him to be successful, for the joy he brought us and part of me wants him to fail miserably for leaving us, on the cusp of possibly doing something magical in Europe.....to go to fucking SPURS!!!!
Celtic fans love this guy....Spurs fans are already moaning about him.

Morning troops
A bit of a downer today, when reading that Ange 'could be leaving' for London, but at the end of the day, it doesn't affect me or my family, so hey ho, it's Monday, and I've got no work to go to, so life goes on at our gaff
Ange has been a breath of fresh air, his tactics have been spot on and he's brought in players who have helped players we already had, buy into the heavy press, and always pushing forward, and while the MSM tried their best to ruffle his feathers during interviews, we don't know what was going on behind the scenes
Perhaps the 'biscuit tin mentality' is still strong in the boardroom
That, wouldn't fly with Ange and his philosophy, so he leaves with my very best for all he has achieved in the 2 years he's been at Celtic
He'll be making more money than what he's on in Glasgow, so that's another thing to consider, but that was not the motivating factor, imho
He comes across as his own man, with a 'my way, or the highway' attitude, that gave us some incredible games and victories
As usual, the money men, hold the sway, and that might have been the deciding factor for Ange, he wanted to run the team his way, and the ego's in tweed wouldn't fancy that, as they like their power
As for me, Best of luck to him
No rear view mirror, we move on, and never stop
We have a great nucleus, and hopefully, the players aren't affected by things they cannot control once they cross the white line
Oh and before I forget
Fuck the Huns
Let them celebrate Ange's leaving, they won fuck all this season, so to the lurkers I say, Know your place

HH

Whoever comes in to manage the club, will need our 100% support
Guys like Brazil and McCoist knew nothing of Ange before he arrived, well they fucking know about him now
Let the MSM and their lackeys ramp up the 'crisis at Celtic' bullshit, they have as much input as you and I do, in what happens at the club
Life in general, comes at you thick and fast, and it's not the situation, but how you deal with it
Feel how you like, angry, sad, disappointed, let down, but never forget who puts bread on your table
Make sure you and yours are taken care of, and remember w2e support the greatest club in the world
Ask yourself, if you were offered 5 times, or more your annual salary, if you wouldn't be tempted to head south
The days of players and managers staying at a club for their entire career are a thing of the past, money talks and Spurs have the cash to splash and make headway into Europe, which we cannot compete with
Enjoy your week and look after yourself

I'm so disappointed that Ange has decided to leave us for spurs...if it happens. I genuinely thought he was a guy who wanted to create a legacy at Celtic. I believed that he wanted to see what he could do with us in Europe. I feel cheated by him to be honest. Every single interview he did with British and Australian TV, he spoke about what the club meant to him...and he understood what he meant to Celtic fans. He spoke as if he was here for the long haul....so to fuck off to an absolute basket case like spurs, to me, shows he's no different to Brendan Rodgers.
I fully accept he was going to go...but fucking spurs!?!?
He could have stayed at Celtic one more season. The spurs job, and probably another 20 will come up in England over the course of next season, such is the high volume of sackings. In this case....I really hope Ange discovers the grass isn't always greener. He won't get any time at spurs. And if they sack him....he won't manage a top team in England ever again.
I also worry about the players we may lose....guys like Kyogo, Maeda and Hatate are very much his players.
I agree mate a feel totally sickened,,just another grifter like Rodgers all this badge slapping crap,,and talking about past or deceased celtic icons as if to ingratiate themselves, they know to get the fans onside is three quarters the battle..obviously you can’t blame anybody looking after there family and the wage structure will be eye watering, but is it too much to ask for one of these guys to replicate the loyalty we give them??would hate to think he was forced into the move🤨

For myself and looking at the bigger picture, Ange did a great job for our club, in spite of all the efforts of the MSM, the Hundits, and the board room members who care only about their bank balance
I have a feeling that Ange wanted to run the team his way, and that didn't sit well with the money men, who want to continue with the Old Firm nonsense
Wanting to bring in players, who would benefit the club, and cost millions would have the board and the likes of DD and Peter Lawell getting the abacus out
They want a 'Yes' man, not someone who is wanting to go farther in Europe, by spending the cash, and getting the plaudits
Whatever happens, the team will get my support

Team will always get my support dilligaf..it’s the manner of this escape mate that stinks to fuck,,loved big ange loved his football and his passion,,but a manager does not chuck(basically) one job if he’s not crossed the t,s and dotted the i,of another contract??so all the cobblers about going away on holiday way family and friends to enjoy the seasons end was shite,,for us!!no one else !!

Fuck Ange and his ambitions and anyone that jumps ship with him.

And I don't mean that in a bad way; mentally they've left Celtic, so fuck 'em and any sentimental platitudes they throw our way. Enjoy the synagogue. We've got huns to skelp and an exciting revamped CL to make sure we compete in (season after next, guaranteed 8 games v 8 different sides).

Most important man in the staff right now is Harry Kewell.

Reported he wants to stay. If so, gold dust - tie him down to some sort of deal. He carries kudos Ange didn't; ex-EPL star, etc., massive respect from incoming players right there. He came to learn off Ange, and looks like he's ready to stand on his own two feet; squad seem to like him as well.

Make him an integral part of any new boss's plan and there's the crucial segue between manager and squad in place already.

I'm of the view there's been a major development behind the scenes between Ange and our powerbrokers.

I don't think this is all about money or the EPL, although it surely features in the equation.

I'm more inclined to think it has more to do with our on-going strategy and a serious difference of opinion between Ange and our major shareholder Dermot Desmond and his right hand man Peter Lawwell.

It will be interesting to see going forward, if our CEO Michael Nicholson and his progressive strategic plans are continued to be implemented, or otherwise. If he is seen to be taking a back seat, then I for one, will have serious reservations of what's going on.

By luck or design, under Ange and Nicholson we had a football and business strategy that was working effectively. Very effectively.

We were ahead of the game, identifying signings well in advance and bedding players in early, so when the football business on the park started, players were in the most part ready and raring to go.

We had a plan, a sensible and very effective business model, unlike things were before the Nicholson, Ange axis came together, where we were bringing in loan players at the eleventh hour.

Is it a case of things were going too well? We had a business and football strategy that was way out in front of our domestic rivals that was producing results on and off the park that were leaving our rivals in our wake, and as a consequence had to be reigned in to keep our rivals viable and relevant, to keep the competition competitive, and to protect the investment of our major shareholders? Could this be the reality?

I suppose we will find out in the coming weeks and months what road we are gong down as a Club. Will it be a progressive road, or will we be stuck on a roundabout.

For my part, I don't want to believe that Ange was a badge kisser and a phoney. I really don't think he was. I think his decision to leave us was based on a lot more than ambition and money, although it was obviously a consideration.

I'm sure we will have subtle soundbites emanating from favoured sources coming our way shortly. The way this saga is spinned will be interesting and insightful. I just hope when this happens, and I'm sure it will, it is not an exercise in manipulation or subterfuge for that would be a big mistake. The Celtic Support is no mugs.

I know my thoughts here will not sit well with some, nonetheless they are being made in good faith. Right or wrong, these are my views, I would be interested in hearing yours...
I'm sure that these thoughts have crossed a lot of fans minds, including my own, but I hope that they aren't true. However , none of us truly trust Desmond or Lawell so who knows

I appreciate your thoughts, and would never attempt to dissaude anyone from the way they feel, it feels like a sore one right enough
We'll likely never know what went on, or was promised by Celtic's boardroom, to Ange, and he seems like a man of his word, in wanting to improve on what we had this past two seasons, but at the end of the day, if he thought he'd been lied to, then he did what was best from him and his family, and I have no issue with that
I wish him the best for what he's done with the club, and I only hope we get the next hiring right
The promised 'signings' will be the clue, as to whether we are being lied to from the people in the panneled room
The next GB baner will be a stoatir I bet

It’s no secret that Levy wants to run his club with a yes man on the touch line. That’s why I’m surprised that the fat lying Aussie cunt took the gig 😡

I don't know where folk are getting the idea that the club weren't backing Ange. Have a look at the amount of players he brought in, many of them are worth millions now.

I don't get the feeling it was PL this time. Money changes people and skews their moral compass.

Nobody's mentioned Steven Naismith :rolleyes::cool:
(Dilligaf ducks, as objects are launched in his direction)
Fact of the matter is, we'll find out, when we find out
I only wish our board, gave as much of a fuck about our club, as we do

Could be that Ange wanted more for our foray into the UCL, and to run things his way, and the board wouldn't sanction it
Monery does funny things to people
So, rather than have a pissing match, he decided it was better for his mental health to leave for considerably more money, and away from the goldfish bowl, that is Glasgow
He won't miss the media in Scotland, or the constant 'Old Firm' bullshit
He's been a succees whereve he's gone, so we're left to speculater about who's next
This is as much the board's fault as Ange's
Now, for the really important things...wonder what's for dinner ?

Nope I'm not soothing myself with blaming the board. This is on Ange.
