Waking up to the amount of cash being touted for players, some barely through puberty. Is sickening me to my stomach. £25million for st ettienes saliba...a teenager with 19 max top flight games in his 1 season so far, pogba €130 million, griezemann €120 million. Teilemans €45 million to BRs Leicester , mings 30million villa > Bournemouth. Zaha 80 million palace to arsenal. I could go on and on. Surely this cannot continue, the bottom I hope , it must fall out of it all. These players whilst no doubt in relative terms are worth it some like teilemans 45million euros. Though honestly? come on now Tyrone mings (some name that btw) €30million villa to Bournemouth is insane. As a club Celtic are spending big but not ridiculous prices for players who've not even had 1 season of top flight football to their career yet. Governments should step in and cap transfers and players wages also as we now have overpaid players who think they are worth all that dictating who the manager will be etc. This is a very slippery slope the game is on here. Italian fa just announced major tax breaks for imports similar to the one Spain's fa introduced under the 'Beckham rule' tells me this will get worse before it gets better. How can big clubs like celtic and others compete ? Answer is we cannot and I hope would not either. People in the country thats the UK and all over Europe are struggling to pay their own rent and bills and feed their families. It makes me so angry I believe football clubs throwing such monies about should be made to donate to a charity some percentage at least. Is it passed the point that this is the peoples game? Not the clubs not the Etihads,Emirates etc fans alone can change this by not turning up but won't. I just find the whole thing very very distasteful to say the least I'm scunnerred HH
