Celtic makes contact and expresses interest in defensive midfielder Fernando Henrique, from Grêmio
Scottish club consults the 20 year old's staff and seeks information for a possible business in January

Even without acting for more than a month, defensive midfielder Fernando Henrique is the target of interest from Celtic, from Scotland. A representative of the Scottish club carried out a consultation to understand the situation of the young man from Grêmio for the next transfer window.
The midfielder's name is debated in Celtic's analysis area as one of the possible targets for next season. Fernando Henrique's staff was contacted in search of information about the possibility of a negotiation in January and the values intended by the Tricolor.
In September, Grupo City and Al Ain, from the United Arab Emirates, also made contacts, as shown by the ge. The Arab club even advanced further in the talks and promised to resume the situation at the end of the current season. At the time, values in the region of US$ 5 million (R$ 25 million) were mentioned.
Fernando Henrique has not been used much in Grêmio's last matches. It has not been on the field since September 15, in the defeat by Flamengo at Maracanã for the Copa do Brasil. And it was listed for the last time four days later, in the victory over the same Flamengo, but without taking the field.
This context can make the 20-year-old young man decide to look for opportunities and develop outside the Rio Grande do Sul club. The understanding is that playing often is important for evolution right now.
The defensive midfielder came to be the start of the then coach Felipão until Thiago Santos was recovered from injury. He played 19 games in the 2021 season, his first in the senior group.
Fernando Henrique renewed with Grêmio last year until the end of 2024 with a fine of 40 million euros (BRL 245 million). The club from Rio Grande do Sul has 60% of the economic rights of the athlete.

Brazilian Serie A, like the J league in Japan, ends in early December. New Brexit work permit rules for football means that in many cases it'll be easier to sign players from South America and Asia than Europe I would like to think we are at least looking in these markets.
I'm sure Nick Hammond signed up a scout to cover South America for us before he left.

As long as he's not scheidt 🤣

Here we go, rumour times are upon us, ye ah.

So Jota back to Benfica in January because of a clause no one knew about, Kyogo on the Southampton express first week in January, Spurs recall CCV and Calmac to join the snake in whatever team he supported as a boy this week. 😉

But not to worry on the 31st January we will sign on loan a couple of the tashes Republic pals. 🤘

You heard it awe here first. 😘😉.

The good news bears will be out in force also proclaiming mega bucks for diddies.

I’d be staying away from the South American market, we’ve had our fingers burned a few times, did Dundee united not buy a scam player for £1million once?
South American market is exactly where we should now be looking. Previously work permits would be a problem for younger players from that part of the world, but now with new post Brexit rules it means we have a better chance of getting a work permit for a player from the Brazilian or Argentinian leagues than a Scandinavian league player or someone from the Balkan leagues.
Having good scouting contacts over there is vital for it to be productive.
