A Wee bit of Music Nostalgia ..Post it here

Anybody remember Goodbye Mr McKenzie? Shirley Mansons first band. Big John fae Edinburgh punk band The Exploited in GMM tae. Don’t know why this song wasna a massive hit when ye consider some o the pish that charted in the late 80s.
The Rattler by Edinburgh band Goodbye Mr McKenzie.

I am a big fan of Goodbye Mr McKenzie. I saw them a few times back in the early 90s and again when they started touring again a couple of years ago. Big John is still a hero but has to use crutches and sits the whole show. He says he shouldn't still be alive and his pal from the Rezillos plays guitar alongside him.

There first two albums were incredible. No one thought the lady on keyboards would become the star of that group of musicians.

Big John Duncan was recruited by Nirvana as their Guitar technician.
I saw a video recently and Big John was sat down the whole time. I bet Big John could tell some mental stories.

Sad news Dolly Parton has passed away aged 80.
Condolences to her family and friends.
Like dislike she was a phenomenal person her work on people who couldn’t read or write was great she was one of a kind.
My Mum loved her and Patsy cline and all the great C&W singers.
RIP DP

Very sad news. I am not into country music but as you rightly say, she was a fantastic and very generous person. Gifting free books to young children to encourage them to read and get an education.
