Moved a couple of them just now.
It's early days and we'll sort out all these little issues as we go along!

Sorry to be a pain, but any chance you guys could give things a tidy up again? There seems to be a lot of duplicate threads with little difference and people opening new threads needlessly. Also a lot of dead older one's that could be archived. I'd much rather see more conversation on a smaller number of threads where possible otherwise it's like trying to pick a voice in a crowd and not being able to hear the sensible from the inane.
For example...
These are effectively all the same thing:

I like to keep nostalgia separate from pressing matters generally but maybe that's just me.

Also... Perhaps the hail hail where we all from thread should be a sticky/ pinned to the top so all new members see it

To be honest I don't really care where everyone is from - I'd rather it was off the news parts altogether.

New members may feel reluctant to post if they are not used to forums or tend to just lurk, an informal thread like this may help them ‘break the ice’ and get that first post under their belt.?

I'm with TJ Hooper. There are so many duplicate threads. When Dembele was forcing his move there were four or five near identical threads, for example.
Perhaps some sort of sticky thread informing new posters of forum etiquette would be beneficial? We don't want this forum to be an intimidating, esoteric place where people are scared to post for fear of being chastised or Hun-shamed, but if it becomes a rabble then many good Celtic fans will just stop checking in.
Kudos to the Bhoys who set it up and are working as admins, all the same.

It is appreciated WC - I do border on the OCD when it comes to organisation. If its possible to somehow separate gossip and chatter from news and initiatives I know I'd appreciate it. Hate seeing important things bumped out of screen by 'what was your first game' and 'what songs do you like to sing while on the loo'

Let's not make it all about pressing issues and news. We aren't all bloggers with sources and inside scoops in Scottish football. I come on here to chat with regular Celtic fans about their memories and their favourite goals. I care where they come from. If you want constant news then stick to reading the creators of this sites blogs. It's a site for all Celtic fans to come on and talk about what they want. I understand the whole duplicate issue but if you start forcing regular fans into wee corners and call their chat unimportant then fans will stop coming on to chat. Sometimes we get fed up with the bullshit going on in Scottish football so coming on here to discuss other things Celtic is small relief....

I get that, but people have different opinions of what they want to see on this forum. You said you don't want "important" things bumped off for gossip and chat. You also said you couldn't care less about where people come from. All I'm saying is some people from around the world might want a wee gossip and chat about general Celtic things. It would be sad if we were bumped off for the things you think are "important"....I'll read Celtic Blog, Video Celts, Phil, Etims, CQN. For important stuff. I'll stop coming on here if I log in and on the screen I see "important things" and then in the top corner in small print I see "general tittle tattle bullshit"....I want to hear about your best memories or what you think Brendans line up should be against Rosenberg...its not always about Res 12 and kings court cases.

Think you're not taking my meaning here. I was asking WC if those two categories could be in separate forums (like how we've a General and Celtic chat split just now). The most popular gossip and chat would be up top on that forum and the other issues that are contributed up top on the other. You are right I'm not bothered about the blether, but I don't have a problem with them being on here. I just like to be able to find things easily.
