Our very own Niall writes some terrific article’s is he a journalist in real life?
Most of the articles on the Star seem to be written by people with other professions, yet they put most journalists and full-time bloggers to shame with the continual stream of very high quality posts and little things like fact-checking. David has pulled together a wonderful team of writers, all with different styles but they all effortlessly draw you into the articles. Well done guys.

Two full time jobs - my real job and a 5 year old on his school holidays!
Thanks Bellshill Bhoy, and Bridie, very kind but the TCS is my escape from the real World. Agree with Bridie, David has built up a brilliant team- including himself! Covers all bases and no click bait either(y)

Thanks Niall. I love your articles.

I'm lucky too as David Potter also contributes semi-regular historical pieces on a Forfar facebook page so I get to read many of his wonderful articles on a variety of subjects.

Thanks BB. Great to get feedback like that. Aye David's involvement was one of the earlier things that marked TCS out as a wee bit special. He's a top class writer and always comes up with something you had no idea about. Like his one on Adam McLean this morning. I had not a clue Aberdeen had been involved in match fixing back in the day. Texted a mate who is a Dons fan and he had no idea either. The guy is just class and a credit to your neck of the woods too (y)

While I agree with many of the sentiments expressed in the article , the expectation that this summer of Scottish football 'shooting itself in the foot , knee , head etc ' is finished is not one of them .

We still have the same chip on the shoulder bunch over at Ibrokes actively looking for reasons to feel aggrieved - and now they have a stoater ! Peter Lawwell on the SPFL board !

Expect conspiracy theories to exponentially increase as it is revealed that Big Pete has :

a) bribed the SFA Arbitration Panel to find against Annie Get your Hun over at Hearts .

b) selected all the pro-Celtic refs ( and there are SOOO many ! ) to undermine the Ibrokes challenge .

c) ensured that the Sellic don't play The Rangers until Stevie G's team have fallen 10 points behind .

d) bought quality players with cash to embarrass the Rangers Provie Cheque scheme for signing duds over 35 from 4th division Albanian junior teams .

e) undermined the More-or-less transfer by offering Lille the loan of a one-legged , over weight , one eyed 76 year old - who has never been sent off in derby matches .

Ground control to major suck 😛

Aye was thinking that 🤣
Aw guys, sites like these depend on the volunteers that take the time to write articles for us all to enjoy, it can be a solitary experience, there’s NOTHING BETTER in any walk of life for someone to take the time to pat you on the back and say “well done” it’s called good man management, you should all try it some time 👍🤣
