Calvin Miller

Reports online that he may be going to an English league 1 side. Is that his level? There was a time when there were reports that KT was keeping him out of the Celtic side and the glimpses we saw of him were interesting. It's pretty obvious the club don't rate him at LB or he would be challenging Boli. In the last year of his contract now there appears little hope of a breakthrough for him. It's a shame; I thought the lad had potential.

Quite a few of that wee group just falling a bit short of making that step up.

Jack Aitchenson, Tony Ralston, Calvin Miller. Thought the snake was way too hasty in shuffling Hendo oot the door, but the other young boys look like they try too hard when they get a shout and far too much nervous energy and adrenalin in their game.

Went the way of Mullen, Henderson, Nesbitt, and the wee squad we loaned to Hibs few seasons back. Takes a lot to step up to the plate.

It's not easy, Boab. The colts probably feel that they only get one or two real cracks at the first XI and feel that they have to make an instant impression.

Little do they know that, in spite of how it might seem, we're actually quite a forgiving bunch - especially with our own!

Just a wee bit of composure and a nip of whiskey before the game and they'd likely be fine.

You have to play the Celtic way, no breaks when in attack, fit as fiddles and have to dedicate your lifestyle round the football, bigger stakes in the game and competition for places now SP.

Still think a dram is a prerequisite for the pre-match!

Agree100% with the rest, Boab. These boys are still living the life that the vast majority of us can only dream about.

Let him go for nowt hes no gonny make it way us n being a free might get the boy extra cuppla quid in his pocket

Miller wasnt a LB, BR put him there thinking he might do a job. I'll defend BR on one thing. He seems to get the best out of wide attacking players and if he didn't rate Calvin to bring him on in his favoured position then mibi he didn't have enough to make it in our team with the players we have.
MJ looked the best player out of that bunch. Speed, skill and goals. He has made an impact in plenty of games. The rest of his generation haven't. Don't think Ewan has put a foot wrong really when given a chance. Out of that crop he is the one I'd try to get into a decent team on loan.
I can't see CP being a place where we can blood 16-18yr old players in that much for the next two seasons, regular starts anyway. Good thing is the new crop we have been investing in are at least two years off anyway

With the young defender heading off to Germany we have nothing coming through in the area we need
MF onwards with a fully fit squad we could fill 2 benches worth of players.(2 GK)
Ntcham
Rogic
Griff
MJ
Sinky
Bitton
Shved
Bayo
Gordon
Fraser

Our defense (natural defenders) + 2 GK options
Fraser
Gordon
Judge Jules
Hendry
Ralston
Moritz

Enough said

Left back was certainly not where Calvin felt comfortable at all but he done quite well there.
Hendo is one that stands out from the last few months of last season, looks a proper talent but really hard to get in the first team with Tam n Ollie back in n Christie playing exceptionally well.
Liking the look of Oko-Flex and of course the mighty wee fella Karamoko.
Been hoping Aitcheson could step up but that really doesn't look likely at all. Lots of good talent in the wee Bhoys, Church has caught the eye too.
Crime they don't have a proper reserve league anymore... inspired decision making!

We were the only team that could afford it mate haha
No surprise it was cut. It would of been a white and green wash.
On a serious note I completely agree.
It was a great platform for younger players to mix with and play with senior pros. It's a big loss across the board for the Scottish game...and for keeping our fringe guys sharp
