Celtic unseeded in the champions league draw?

I was quite surprised to read that Celtic could well not be seeded in the champions league draw.
We are facing one, two legged fixture, its highly likely we will face off against some familiar foes, Dinamo Zagreb, Ferencvaros, Bodo Glimt, Copenhagen and Red Star are some of the clubs we could face.
We shouldn't fear any of these , indeed they should hope to avoid us.
Of those named I'd rather we avoided Bodo Glimt and Copenhagen personally but the truth is that should we be drawn with any of these clubs we have to look at that as a fantastic opportunity to progress into the champions league.

This is without being arrogant or dismissive of any opposition, that approach will get us nowhere but at the same time we have to believe in what we have now become, a very decent outfit that has made great inroads at the highest level.
We are in the ' champions route' and will only face off against champions of their respective countries, as it should be.

As things stand just now Dinamo Zagreb are in 2nd place in Croatia with 3 games to go, should they not win the league then we will be seeded. If they do win the league then Zagreb, Red Star, Copenhagen and Ferencvaros all have 2 rounds to play before they get to the play off round with us so if one of them get KO'd we will be seeded (Copenhagen and Ferencvaros are only 1 point ahead with 3 games to go in their leagues). Bodo/Glimt are guaranteed to be seeded and in the play off round, and if they win the Europa League (highly unlikely) they will go straight into the league stage and we will be seeded.
Probablity at the moment is slightly in our favour to be seeded but it is far from guaranteed.

Watching Bodo Glimt v Spurs 2nd leg 31st minute it's a fascinating watch.
Bodo are a force of nature, its taken about 30mins for them to begin to dominate but they are now and Spurs always dangerous can really see why that 3rd goal as so important for Spurs.
Bodo are very decent and a side I'd hope to swere .

So we are all following the end of the Croatian, Hungarian and Danish leagues then? 😄

Spurs goal from a corner, 63rd minute, been a very non Ange type of display.
Perhaps the EPL isn't suited to this.
Not really a defensive display but it was one that just soaked up Bodos attacking intent like a sponge , the 3rd goal has made it too much for Bodo they didn't get the early goal to rattle spurs who have looked like a side that are a level above .
Bodo have played well but spurs have played a really professional game and tactically out fought Bodo.
This will be a feather in Anges cap I think.

Going to be unpopular as I’ve posted about this since I’ve been on here but it’s mega important that all Scottish teams in Europe do well in Europe including the Huns
Our coefficients are embarrassing (6 teams in England qualify this season and we have 1 that has to make a play off)
We need to get to stage that 2 Scottish teams make champ league (I know Celtic fans won’t want that as it will give them money) but if you want the league to get better and our club to get better than that’s what’s needed
As it stands the following season we lose out on automatic space for conference league and that’s a massive blow to our league I’ve enjoyed the fight from other teams to get 3rd as it was like them winning a cup with getting that spot with Europe guaranteed
I’m sure the Celtic fans that celebrated when benfica beat rangers to lose our spot won’t mind if we don’t make it to champ league nxt season as rangers got beat and put out a round to early 2 seasons ago 😂
I don’t want them to win a European trophy ever again but I want them and every other Scottish team in Europe do well enough to get our points up
Before our league gets worse
having guaranteed champ league spot would swing on a players decision to come to Scotland or not
If we like it or not it’s just facts them doing well in Europe was one of the main reasons (maybe even the no1 reason) we had champ league spot 2 year in a row and generated us 80 million
And the team in 3rd place needs to do well too hearts fucked it this season

In a perfect world, tommybhoy.....ach, I'm sure you don't need a history lesson from me, you know how it has always worked.

For me, what's important is to get our transfer business done. Get players out and get players in ASAP. Have plenty of time to let new players and new ideas gel. If that happens then we will be prepared for who ever we get drawn against. Seeded or unseeded, every team at that stage is dangerous.
