This will be a lot tougher than many seem to think. I've watched Brugge deservedly beat Aston Villa and outplay AC Milan, and lead them, in the San Siro until they got a player sent off.
Probably the same starting 11 as Saturday night, Bernardo for Engels the only possible change.
A win and we are as good as through to the play off round in February. A draw would still be a good result.
A hard fought 2-1 win.

The B team are playing Brugge youngsters on Wednesday afternoon at the City Stadum (Lesser Hampden), 1pm

Engels is going to be a great signing for us. But after a wonderful start to his Celtic career, he has not been performing so well in recent matches. So I'd be starting Bernardo in midfield for this match as his form has been significantly better. Any win will do me.

As everyone has said, Bruges are no mugs and are very under-rated, so it will be a hard match. Mon the Hoops.

Agree...when this draw was made we targeted 3 points in this game but having had a good look at them since they could be our toughest challenge at Celtic Park to date.

They play a very similar system to our own and like ourselves have a vibrant front 3 with a creative midfield.
Both their young full backs are good going forward but can be got at down the flanks.
We will need to be every bit as good as our RB performance to get anything out of this game.
If Engels starts he is gonna have to show alot more than the flashes we have seen to date and I have to say I'm a wee bit disappointed that young Valle hasn't seen more minutes ......the rest of the team picks itself for me.
Overall a tough challenge as every CL game inevitably is especially with the turnaround and amount of games we are playing.

Everybody will have to give their all with no passengers. I'll take the points any which way we can get them.

Looking forward to another CL under the lights...

Am too auld in the tooth to take this for granted, yeah I remember Parkhead was a fortress in days gone by, but most teams these days pay no heed to that as the last few yrs have shown...

But there is something different in this team this season and when we are set up properly we are a fairly decent European side (so far) 😉..

Anyhoo as much as I've been banging on about Paulo changing the play for us I dont think (barring injury) that Brendan will change the starting 11, that slaughtered the pigs of swinecastle...

Big Kasper...

AJ CCV Austin Greg.

Calmac Arne Reo..

Kuhn Kyogo Maeda..

Arne to break even more Belgian Bubbles this season 😉. And Kyogo to pop in a second... 2 v 0 Celtic...

Role on Wednesday...

We will start the game with eleven v eleven. Are we good enough to win? A part of me say Yes and a part says No. I've seen the difference that spirit and heart make to determination. What I don't know is what Celtic team will show up. I've seen too many Celtic teams that lack energy and yet I've seen us blow teams away. Rodgers is the key. I trust him to get the players in the right mood for a win.

According to the experts we were as good as beat even before we played the last European game “ Didn’t Happen “ yes think it will be a tight game but Celtic have it in them to win and I think as good any who they play against, thier speed down the wings is a plus in games like this, Go Celtic Go

It is quiet so far for a game day. Tonight will be a tough match again, and our players all need to be up for it from the start. Yes, we beat RBL 3-0 in an outstanding match but we had to withstand an early onslaught and they squandered a couple of good chances that would have changed the entire complexion of the game if they had scored.

We need that mental toughness again but have to be the ones who come flying out of the blocks and keep going for as long as possible, without completely running ourselves into the ground. It may need earlier substitutions BEFORE players' energy levels start dropping off. We need the players on the pitch to be that inspiration to our players that we know they can be rather than an incredible enjoyable bucketlist experience for our opponents.

Honestly, I would not be too disappointed with a draw, but I'm obviously hoping for a victory of any kind. A jammy 98th minute ricochet off of Jamesie's arsecheek would suit me if it proved to be the winner.

Let's hope for another glorious, successful and enjoyable European night that lives long in the memory for the right reasons. Mon the Hoops.
