Manager took a risk with his team selection and got away with it, comfortably in the end.
Positives, the return of CCV, Trusty looking a lot more comfortable on the left, midfield three all playing well especially Bernardo who was our MOTM until taken off. Engels got better when he dropped deeper.
Negatives, both full backs and wingers were awful. If Palma or Yang play for us again it'll be one game too many, get rid in January. Kyogo missing two sitters in the first 6 minutes, score them, or at least one of them, and its a lot more comfortable win.
Dundee offerred nothing going forward. The new referee was every bit as bad as the others we've had for years.
9 points clear of 3rd and onto Hampden on Saturday night. Can't wait, love 5.30pm LC semi final kick offs at Hampden.

We really have to put out our best team and they have to play at the top of their game. This will be no walk in the park. We don't want to play well for just 45mins this time.
 
We completely controlled the game from start to finish, started slightly slowly Schmeichel made an outstanding save.
Palma, a player I like flattered to deceive good control but predictable his cut backs.
Yang did just enough , had good endeavour and got his assist that'll help his confidence. Our £30 million defender scoring again 👏
Far too many first half slack passes to nowhere or even to the opposition , perhaps with the number of changes but we can't do this.

We were never under any pressure in this game but never created the number of clear cut opportunities we usually do , a mix of our changes and good defending by Dundee?
The win is what matters , vital minutes given to those who need it, Trusty looks like he's getting stronger , McCowan did well but faded second half, Engels was decent.
All that was missing to make this game an easier watch was clear cut chances, our play in the opening minutes of the 2nd half onwards was much better faster working the ball , still needed that 2nd goal as the var penalty check near the end for them showed.

I'm not complaining far from it, it was a calculated gamble by Rodgers again , he may have to take more this season it's 3 points and we face our rivals at Hampden next. That game tonight will have given them confidence but also have taken a lot out of them, whereas we cruised it.

9pt gap after 10played over that mob is great at this time of the season.
Aberdeen look decent, truth is we shouldve been out of sight at 2-0 against them and won't make that mistake again.
I think it will be the Kilmarnock, St Johnstone type of fixtures that will kill off Aberdeen before we have to in the league but right now in the cup we have to and that tonight , though not vintage Celtic was ultimately the perfect workout for the double header 2 big games to come.

1st half reminiscent of the Falkirk game too many changes and a bit too slow, misplaced passes also a feature and Kyogo not taking chances ment a half time draw. Started the 2nd half with more purpose and upped the pace when the subs came on Dundee never really troubled after Schmiechel made the early save. The Ref was unbelievable with some of his decisions which were benefiting Dundee a lot more than us but 3 points and on to the next game
