Laxalt's work rate cannot be faulted, but the more I see of him, reinforces my opinion that his positional awareness is dire. A lot of his lauded play is last ditch tackling in nature and often to make up for a mistake that originated with himself.
I basically have said this since after his first couple of games quite often and was laughed at.... Taylor is a much better all round left back... Taylor's only crime is that he does not have exotic name and hair....maybe he should call himself Gregorio

Couldn’t agree more
Laxalt is a far better player on the eye than Taylor
Always up for it, makes great tackles, looks good going forward but where it matters in a game flatters to deceive
Is even worse at crossing than Taylor and is always caught out of position
Taylor’s a far better defender

Imo I thought we did well against Hibs tonight. Hibs had a lot of chances and maybe deserved their draw. We had a changed side with youngsters playing and on the bench. Let's keep playing the likes of Welsh Henderson Harper. Game time so very important for these kids development. As for Lawwell the sooner he stands up and apologies to the Celtic support for the debacle that is this season and then resigns the better off we will be.
Thought we did well given the team we had to put out on the field tonight, until the brain fart by our 'alleged defence' at the end
Hazard make some good saves, and commanded his box well a few times under pressure, but flapped at the ball, and they scored
In fairness, his defenders should have cleared that cross, but as usual Laxalt and Duffy, were on their backsides, as Hibs scored
Laxalt is a quilty platyer, but we need Taylor in at left back, as Laxalt gets caught out of position too often
Turnbull was worth the wait for him, and Soro is a player, no question
Young Welsh and Oko-Flex, are looking good, have been watching our young teams games and they've stood out, along with Cameron Harper, who was asked to fill in for Eddie and/or Griff, too big an ask, but the future looks good among the Academy players
Henderson deserves more of a run in the first team, but Mikey needs to bulk up a bit
Anyway, we deal and move on and as someone said
At least we're not Huns

cannae argue with that mate, Soro too.
Walker is a bitter, cretinous wee gobshite.

A broken clock is right twice a day.

He just loves another opportunity and platform to stick the knife in.

That being said, they're queuing up to take a pop at us now, and who can defend them? we've done it all to ourselves.

I'm waiting for Jeremy Beadle to jump out with the hidden camerash

That's a bit of a myth tbh...he is a decent player who is working to get better and is one I feel that is deserving of a first team slot...his final product is one that our coaches should be pushing him to improve.. obviously they are inept

I think his only problem, docco, is he has no pace. He's a better defender by far. If we were to play a flat back 4 and his only job was to defend then we would have a quality LB on our hands...but its not lennons style to play players in their best positions. Every time to guy plays hes asked to bomb up and down the pitch as a LW in a back 3 or LWB in a diamond.

Thought the team did ok weathered the initial Hibs onslaught at the start and took control, biggest problem for me was the lack of input from Rogic and Johnston and the panic that seemed to set in when Hibs came forward after we took the lead.

Great thing with the boys , particularly Harper and Welsh was their energy despite a total lack of MATCH fitness (I think the boys have only played about six or seven games since August )

Look to the future, cnut of a title season and one to be put on back burner, but there is still games to be played and a trophy up for grabs.

My biggest question watching it last night was how did they find a keeper.in the Arsenal reserves and we couldn't.
Did nobody think to ring KT up and ask him who was about
He seems to be telling everyone down here who they should sign from Celtic nobody thought to ask him if anyone was available and if they were decent.

Poor foul to give away agree with that
But he probably thought they'd kick it up the park and run the game down.

Unlucky on the night but at least we out up a fight.

Rogic was poor and CalMac and Mikey seemed to fall over if anyone ran near them.
Thought up to the goal Duffy ad one of his best games in the hoops.
Even managed to pass the ball to people he knew which was good to see.

Still seems to struggle with high balls coming over his head though.
