Time to forget about today's aberration and get back to winning ways by thumping St Mirren on Sunday.

Changes a plenty required

Schmiechel
AJ CCV Trusty Valle
Engels McGregor McCowan
Kuhn Idah Maeda
Subs Sinisalo Scales Ralston Hatate Bernardo Kyogo Yang Frame Cummings

Time to start leaving those likely to depart out of the squad altogether and promote a couple from the B Team

Need to be more physical and play with a lot more pace up against Robinson's 6'+ hammer throwers. A fast, scoring start required to blow away today's non-performance as failure to do that will mean a long, hard, slog.

3-0 win

Yeah good post Gaz ....let's focus on this and no more follow follow behaviour from certain individuals on here ....well individual (you know who you are )
St Midden are never easy to get past but we must bounce back and put today behind us.
The bhoys will hopefully be angry with their poor no show at the bigotdome and take it out on the Paisley saints.

The reason I have gone with a different formation, is that I believe Rodgers needs to show he can be flexible. And at least try something different. These home matches should be where this happens. Also, players who are off their game, need to see there are consequences. It helps remove complacency. Make them fight for their place. I would like to see him try Kyogo and Idah up front together, and be more direct. Keep them guessing. And that includes the players.

One change for me to your side gary67..Paulo for Callum…ano he’s the captain but no player should be immune to getting their hole kicked when not producing the goods and for me he’s been well off it…

CalMac was the least bad of the three midfielders. We only have 2 others to bring in so can't drop all three from today
But he allows us to go into that side to side nonsense,,whereas Paulo Engels hatate allow the width that we require??also allows ccv to move forward with the ball, plus it means scales doesn’t have enough possession to harm us!!!just gets the ball to Taylor or Valle then up the channels??we blew Motherwell away playing that way…

That individual played the ultimate hun card. Deflect deflect deflect.
He's probably out celebrating right now.

I'm persisting with my 3-4-3 formation for these matches, which for some unfathomable reason, our highly successful manager has ignored!!!

Schmeichel
AJ CCV Trusty
Bernardo McCowan CalMac Engels
Kühn Kyogo idah
Valle, Maeda & Hatate to come on as impact subs. Plus at least 1 youth player to see the game out if/when we have the match safely sewn up.

The skipper was definitely off it, but at least kept showing for the ball when needed. The other two were unbelievably rank.
The good news is we get to put things right at the weekend. Again, this is a game requiring full hunger, aggression, commitment for every minute on the park.

I'm just glad we don't have to wait too long to get answer to the very justified questions we are all asking.

Massive game against st Mirren and even trickier tie against the in form Dundee Utd a few days later
I know calmac has not been great but he was better than Hatate and Bernardo yesterday as both of them was hopeless yesterday but I would maybe still rest calmac and drop hatate and play Bernardo luke and engles and also play trusty Valle and Idah…
Let’s get 6 home points and see how the only fools and Huns get on with 2 hard away ties

I’ve moved on ….
The one player I I would like to see get a wee run of games is mcCowan in for Hatate.
The rest Rodgers needs to call
Maybe he plays the same starters from yesterday to see if they can make it up to us.
Let’s start with a bit of fight of which there was none yesterday, sorry obviously haven’t quite moved on.

Time now to start playing our £26m worth of signings from the summer on a regular basis. Give all 3 of them a run of starts beginning on Sunday and stick with them.
Kyogo doesn’t score enough goals for a regular starting striker in this Celtic team. Idah should be given a run of half a dozen starts to see what he can do.
Trusty is our 2nd best CH, the best partner for CCV, the fastest of any of our CHs and has done very little wrong when he’s played.
Engels has had his dip in form, expected from a 21 yo, and has came back with 2 MOTM performances.
I’d also add McCowan to this list. Hatate has in the main been poor this season. Another no show yesterday. McCowan has always looked good when coming off the bench, maybe try starting him for 4 or 5 games and see how he goes.

101 percent agreed …….people saying Idah has been poor don’t make any sense he’s not had enough game time he needs a run of games as you have said

That and him having no pre-season hasn't helped either. He probably needs a run of games like the 5 coming up before the CL resumes to get him back playing regularly and his game fitness to the levels he'd want.
It is almost like refusing to buy Idah on 1st July to get the most out of him has cost us. It isn't like this hasn't happened so often before, just to shave a small % off of the transfer fee. Remember when we bought Hatate and AJ early (January window, admittedly) so then had enjoyed several training sessions with their new teammates beforehand? They were very successful for us from the 1st match.

I'd take Idah out and play Kuhn through the middle just behind Kyogo.
