Club statement - a whole lot of saying feck all!!!

No apology....no plan...no strategy....just telling us that Celtic appear to be the only club in European football that UEFA have restricted on making tranfers, it would seem.....didn't the huns even out-spent us??
They've actually blamed the bloggers and media for misinformation causing the issues....not the fact that the board haven't done their job!!! Infact, they have failed to take a single ounce of responsibility!!!
We are at war with these fucking rats, for the soul of the club. That's clear now.

A whole lot of words that meant absolutely zero ....pathetic in the extreme and a massive fail if that is meant to be a serious response from the board of reprobates.
 
Just returned home to see this statement. Fuck me, drips of arrogance and 'we know best so shut up'. Addresses none of the 7 points put by the 300+ and increasing fan groups.
Having realised today's hatchet job on the manager, in of all places the Scum newspaper, has totally backfired they have now moved to a pathetic, its not our fault its UEFA FSR rules and teams asking for more money for players that the pathetic bids we make. (note - we are nowhere close to breaching FSR rules)
Arrogance, complacency, contempt for the support, all to add an to inability to even come close to looking like what a modern, progressive football club in the 2020s looks like.
They don't even have the bottle to put a name to the 1000+ words of crap they have released.

Finances young lubo and uefa restrictions are a major point. I for one don't want to see us go down the road to ligudation. What's it to be spend above our means on transfers and players wages or end up like Sevco
 
If you listen to the bunnett on you tube talking about his time at Celtic you will understand everything that this board is trying to preserve. Celtic will always be here but it needs understanding from supporter's why we are run the way we are. God bless the bunnett and shame on those who booed him on the unfurling of the league flag.
 
I pray to God that Celtic fans dont buy into that bullshit statement. Celtic are not going to bankrupt themselves by signing players. Most clubs in Europe seem to be able to get by just fine....yet our board will have us believe that we MUST be on the bones of our arses to just survive. Fucking nonsense!!

The board are complicit in their mismanagement of the club and supporters should be looking resignation of Nicholson and Lawwell for the double speak. How embarrassing can they get.
 
You can now understand why they don't as a rule communicate with the support. They haven't a clue, they are so detached it is embarrassing. They are so narcissistic they think that the bullshit they released as a statement tonight is what everyone wants to hear from them and we will all be reassured that they know best and everything will be hunky dory.
They have now reached the point of no return.

Nonsense, we are nowhere close to beaching FSR rules which state that you can only spend 70% of turnover on player related costs. We aren't even at 50%. Just checked Swiss Ramble on X, as of 23/24 we were on 43% so a whole 17% under compliance to the UEFA rules

At the end of the day. They claim they are restricted by boardroom parameters. These parameters quite clearly are not in line with the best interests of the playing field in a timely appropriate timescale.

If their plan was working the youth would be able to slip into the top team without significant drop in standard. However, this does not appear to be working if they refuse to sell players until they are replaced.

Failure of their own guide plan
number 1 no communication on how they intend to bridge this gap in talent being ready.

When manager identifies key weakness in his side that needs reinforced. Waiting months and even years to find suitable back up or first team players is not tenable. If player they want or club of player they want stalls outside parameters timely replacement should be identified even if short term to support the first team strength. Waiting till last week of window with potential gazzump is not looking after the best interests of the playing field.

There are plenty of players good enough for short contract before season kicks off within financial parameters especially from home market as well as other markets.

Failure number 2 Parameters of wages is no excuse for having no back up first team ready at start of season.

Adding marquee signing might require long negotiation and risk gazzump but marquee signing should not ever delay having first team ready squad ready able and WILLING and HAPPY to be squad player in place capable of seeing out the season before ball is kicked.

The team have won a lot under recent years, but its not with a team that is stronger every season and mostly if not always with Squad strong enough at kick off of match day 1.

Failure number 3

The growth of club has not been in strength of playing squad. If anything its a little diluted every season until new players either blossom or get into the role they have been assigned.

Growth parameter of players strength for each required role is not factored into the growth model.

And therefore is not growing club even if its sustaining winning league against fellow clubs of diminishing player strengths over time.

In conclusion

Board have failed to grow club in practise on field
have failed to negotiate new replacements of key assets on a like for like basis let alone an increasing level
failed to develop youth that helps sustainability of their model
failed to cultivate good communications with paying customers
failed to acheive their own parameters despite claiming they achieved club growth on field.

They must go as they cant get good enough players to accept their parameters in a timely manner and talk mince instead of growing club on pitch.

Growing club on pitch is very difficult in this market
Failing at it means you need to step down to allow someone else do it better or failure next time will be likely as you arent been held accountable for failure on an epic scale.

bargain bin after transfer market isnt what growing clubs rely upon.

while also seeking to ensure the development and progression of our Academy players. Our objective is to create Champions League players.

This has to be the funniest, in a sad funny way, passage in the whole farce of statement. We have produced 3 players in 15 years that meet that criteria they state yet the clown in charge of the Academy for that period is still in his job. Our coaches are either an ex player or a pal of a pal (usually with a Motherwell connection). The Academy is a UEFA box ticking exercise that the board have no interest in developing and trying to improve. That would involve investment.
We are producing poor players who have no chance of improving our first team
