But all of these would be as a direct consequence of the board's actions. If they had acting in a way that the vast majority of clubs do then it would never have been a potential future issue.

Also, if stashing away such huge sums of money in the bank means you cannot fall back on it to fund your playing squad if your revenue drops because you are in breach of FSR, then why do this? The board have already said it is never to be used to pay for a long-overdue main stand for as long as we only play in a Scottish League.

Also, their argument holds no water as they were willing to pay those better players higher wages, but because we had annoyed them, their agents and their selling club with insultingly low offers they chose other clubs to move to later also, as it is so late we cannot find anyone else and we also have to keep players who have already packed their stuff up from Lennoxtown.

It is like an arsonist starting the fire and being early on the scene to put it out before there is too much damage claiming all the credit and warning others about playing with matches.

I'm not disagreeing totally, -I'm just looking at it from a pragmatic point of view-I've campaigned against this board passionately in the past-still not enamoured by the snakey cants.But with a bit of perspective(cos I'm getting old most likely)-I see us being totally dominant domestically-with the occasional decent run in Europe-being our ceiling.Unless we move to another league,that's as good as it gets imo
