How convenient is the timing of this.
The perfect excuse for Lawwell to come out with the usual nonsense about trying his best, but the the players not being suitable/available.
This should all of been sorted out after the shambles we had in the summer.
It’s more than Congerton that is culpable. Rodgers hired him then also added Mick Doherty, who was highly rated at Everton and Chelsea.
We already had plenty scouts, including Tosh McKinlay, Willie McStay, Gordon Strachan’s son Craig, to name a few.
Plenty other clubs are brilliant in this department - you just have to look at Salzburg.
