Old Con McGarrigle was 85 and was lying on his death bed surrounded by his entire family and he was fading fast
The Priest had been sent for to administer the Last Rites or Extreme Unction as it would have been referred to in those days
The Priest asked Con if he had any last wishes and the auld fella answered 'Indeed I do Faddah I want to become a Freemason'
Well as you can imagine there was a degree of angst and consternation from his family by his bedside but the Priest held up his hand requesting silence and there was a hush
'Tell me Con' said the Priest 'Why do you want to become a Freemason'?
'Well Faddah' Con whispered as he grabbed the Priest's hand 'It means when I die there will be one less of those Bastarts walking the Earth'
