cup final tickets

Did Hibs no get pummelled a few years back for the turnout in a final or a semi?
Did they no get half the tickets and then didny sell half what they got, wi thousands of empty seats at Hampden?
2017 cup semi final v us. They asked for and got a 50/50 split and didn't sell 10k tickets. The order in which they sold the areas they were allocated meant that the SFA couldn't give them to Celtic, they also didn't tell the SFA they hadn't sold tickets until a couple of days before the game. The result was behind the goal at the West Stand was empty and looked awful for such a high profile, prestigious game.
They also sold >10k last week and there were large empty section in the East Stand.

Aye, but everybody and their granny comes oot fur a cup final, should be based on amount of season ticket holders and tickets sold for the semi final, the part time, 2 games a season “glory hunters” came watch it at home or in the pub 👍

There's is enough time to think about it rationally from an SPFL point of view. We know celtic could sell their section 2 times over so don't worry about that side of things. Release 10,000 to hibs. Monitor the situation. If hibs sell them then release another 5000 at a time. Give them a deadline to hit. If they can't sell then release the rest of the tickets for celtic fans. Hold 2000 hibs seats for pay at the gate purposes on match day to stop any of them moaning about not getting a chance to go to match.....section of the ground appropriately so that fans don't have to mix on match day. Rather 2000 empty seats than 20,000. If hibs keep kicking up about it ask for cash up front on 50% allocation. See how quickly they change their mind on how many seats they want!!

Or if they have to get a 50-50 split, hibs are make pay twice the face value of ANY unsold tickets 👏👏
